Awareness is our strongest line of defense in keeping children safe online. In today's digital age, learning to recognize Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) is more crucial than ever.

Stay informed, know what steps to take, and if you suspect a child is in danger, report it.

On July 27, 2026, a fire incident struck Brgy. Muelle Loney, City Proper, leaving 8 households and 3 business structures totally damaged. A total of 27 families (52 individuals) were displaced and are currently taking temporary shelter at the Barangay Basketball Court.

In response, the Iloilo City Government, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) l, immediately extended assistance by distributing family food packs, sleeping kits, and hygiene kits to the affected families. To ensure a safe and organized temporary shelter, modular tents and canopy tents were installed for the internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) also provided additional food and non-food items to support the displaced individuals and families.

Through the activation of the Uswag Community Kitchen, warm meals were prepared and served to the affected families, ensuring that no one went hungry during this difficult time.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the private individuals and volunteers who generously shared dinner, essential items, and other forms of assistance. Your compassion and generosity remind us that, even in the face of adversity, our community remains united.

Together, we continue to bring hope, comfort, and support to every family on the road to recovery. 💙
