The Municipality of Narvacan informs the public that pursuant to Executive Order No. 09 โ€“ ECS, Series of 2026, issued by Mayor Edna Cabalo-Sanidad, and in line with Memorandum Circular No. 114, the Local Government Unit will implement a temporary Four-Day Compressed Workweek as an energy-saving measure.

Effectivity Date:
March 09, 2026
Office Hours:
7:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM
Working Days:
Monday to Thursday
Friday:
No regular office operations

The 40-hour workweek will be compressed into four (4) days with ten (10) working hours per day, exclusive of lunch break.

Scope and Coverage:
This arrangement shall cover all officials and employees of the Local Government Unit of Narvacan, regardless of status of appointment or employment.

Exemption:
Offices providing essential, basic, and vital services, including those responsible for health, public safety, and emergency preparedness and response, shall remain fully operational to ensure the continuous delivery of critical public services.

LGU offices shall also continue to observe a โ€œNo Noon Breakโ€ policy through skeletal staffing during lunch hours.

The public is advised to schedule their transactions from Monday to Thursday during office hours.

Warm congratulations to the Work Immersion students from Narvacan Catholic School for successfully completing their Exit Interview facilitated by the Human Resource Management Office. The Local Government Unit of Narvacan proudly welcomed the Work Immersion students from Narvacan National Central High School and San Pedro National High School, together with the On-the-Job Trainees from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College โ€“ Sta. Maria Campus, as they officially began their training and workplace exposure in various offices of the LGU.

The deployment aimed to provide students with meaningful hands-on experience in a real government setting, allowing them to apply their academic learning, develop practical skills, strengthen work values, and gain a deeper understanding of public service. Through this program, the students were given the opportunity to build confidence, discipline, and professionalism essential for their future careers.

The LGU of Narvacan remained committed to strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and empowering the youth by providing opportunities that bridged classroom learning with real-world application. The work immersion and OJT experience served as a meaningful foundation for growth, learning, and success in the studentsโ€™ future endeavors.
