LGU Sigay held its CY 2026 1st Quarter Joint MPOC-MADAC-MTF ELCAC Meeting today at the 2nd Floor Municipal Hall, Sigay, Ilocos Sur. The meeting was presided by Vice Mayor Dionisio Lang-ay, Jr., Vice Chairperson of MPOC and MTF-ELCAC.

In the afternoon, the CY 2026 1st Quarter Joint MCPC-MCAT VAWC and GAD FPS Meeting was also conducted.

Seven (7) Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (BADACs) of the LGU Sigay, Ilocos Sur represented by their respective barangay officials formally receives their Resolution for the Sustainability and Retention of the Drug-Cleared and Drug Free Status during the conduct of LGU Sigay's CY 2026 1st Quarter Joint MPOC, MADAC, and MTF-ELCAC Meeting. The resolutions were awarded by IA I Atty. Carol Lonjawon of the PDEA Ilocos Sur, with the BADAC members assisted by Sigay Vice Mayor Dionisio Lang-ay Jr., SBM Norman Wandas, MLGOO Dhelmer Estacio, PNP Sigay represented by PEMS Romel Dilla and 24th IB PA represented by 2LT Joshua Adrienne Gonzales.

This achievement stands as a testament to the shared responsibility, cooperation, and collective effort of the Local Government Unit of Sigay, its MADAC, all the BADAC members, and partner agencies in ensuring a safe and free of illegal drugs community.

Pursuant to the Anti-Red Tape Authority's Advisory No. 2025-008, s. 2025, ARTA reaffirms the validity of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and supports its continued ex*****on between Local Government Units (LGUs) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) concerning fire safety certification issuance, pending the readiness of the BFP's electronic Fire Safety Inspection System (eFSIS) and its integration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology's (DICT) eGOV platform and with their respective electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).

TANONG NG BAYAN | Maaari bang sumali ang mga nahalal na lokal na opisyal sa kilos na politikal at elektoral?

Alinsunod sa Seksyon 93 ng Local Government Code of 1991, ang mga inihalal na lokal na opisyal ay maaaring sumali sa may pinapanigang pagkilos na politikal at elektoral, ngunit magiging labag sa batas para sa kanila ang mangalap ng kontribusyon mula sa kanilang mga nasasakupang kawani o itulak ang mga kawaning ito sa alin mang ipinagbabawal na pagkilos o Gawain na naaayon sa ilalim ng Omnibus Election Code.

Pinagtibay din ito ng Comelec Minute Resolution 24-1001, na nagsasaad na hindi pinagbabawalan ang mga halal na opisyal ng barangay at SK sa anumang kampanya o aktibidad ayon sa mga gawaing pampolitika ng kanilang kinasasapiang partido.

As part of the 6th Sigay Coffee Festival Celebration, the 2025 Rambak ti Naisigudan a Kultura was held at the Municipal Gymnasium, Sigay, Ilocos Sur wherein the barangays of Sigay showcased their talents in the cultural dance competition. Simultaneously during the awarding ceremony, certificates of commendation were given to the CY 2024 SGLGB Passers:

Barangay San Ramon
Barangay Mabileg
Barangay Santo Rosario

The Seal of Good Local Governance for Barangays (SGLGB) was established to promote and recognize excellent governance at the barangay level. It aims to encourage barangays to uphold transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in key areas such as peace and order, financial management, disaster preparedness, social protection, economic development, and environmental sustainability.

The meeting was presided by Vice Mayor Dionisio Lang-ay Jr and he highlighted the importance and sustainment of peace and order as integral part of community development.
