The Local Government Unit of Santo Domingo officially opened the 126th Civil Service Month with a First Friday Mass, hosted by the Human Resource Management Office, Public Employment Service Office, Local Youth Development Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office, and PopCom Office.

Fr. Carlito Feria reminded us that public service is more than a duty—it’s a calling to love and serve without limits. As Lingkod Bayan, let us bring Puso, Dangal, at Galing into everything we do for our community every single day.

PUBLIC ADVISORY | 20 AUGUST 2026

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, s. 2026 issued by the Office of the Preisdent, all public and private schools in the Municipality of Santo Domingo shall continue to adopt modular learning or other appropriate alternative learning modalities tomorrow, 20 AUGUST 2026.

Concurrently, a SKELETON WORKFORCE and WORK-FROM-HOME arrangement will be implemented across municipal government offices.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santo Domingo, headed by Mayor Annea Cassandra De Leon, welcomed the Bachelor of Public Administration students from the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) for their internship and on-the-job training.

Before the deployment of these students, Atty. Jann Danae Aninag, Municipal Administrator, shared valuable insights and reminded them to be responsible, conduct themselves well, and perform their assigned tasks to the best of their abilities.

An orientation program was also conducted by Mr. Prince Reburon, Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO) and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager. The orientation aimed to help the students to understand the policies, rules and regulations, work ethics, and procedures of the LGU. It also provided them with a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities as interns.

The LGU Santo Domingo looks forward to supporting these future public servants as they gain valuable hands-on experience in public administration and local governance. We wish them a meaningful, productive, and enriching training experience in the municipality!
