Open Entry Basketball Tournament Rules & Regulations

1. The entry fee is Php2500. The first 10 teams who pay their entry fee will be accepted. First come, first served basis. Contact 09275664789 for the mode of payment.

2. No team shall have a player roster of more than 12 players. Name and signature of players, name of the team and address of the team must also be submitted upon payment of the registration fee. No adding or deleting of players after the submission.

3. A team will be charged with a forfeit if it uses an ineligible player that is not on the roster.

4. No player shall play for more than one team during the tournament. If this rule is violated, all relevant games will be forfeited and will result in a loss for any team associated with this player.

5. Destruction or damage of property will be punished accordingly. The player and team will pay for damages and will automatically be eliminated from the tournament.

6. Team captains/managers are the voice of their team and are responsible for their team’s conduct. If any player or spectator appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the tournament committee/game officials have the right to expel them from any game and/or tournament and bar him/her from the covered court. This rule will be strictly enforced.

7. All players must wear gym shoes and matching colored T- shirts/jerseys when playing.

8. A technical foul will be assessed if the player’s numbers are not visible to the officials (referee & scoring officials).

9. Fighting by any individual (either on or off the court) will result in the individuals involved being ejected from the game and in the covered court; a 2nd altercation from any team member from the previously penalized team(s) will result in that team’s removal from the tournament.

10. The officials will only refer to the official scorekeepers and timekeepers of the game at hand.

11. Scorekeepers, timekeepers and/or officials are allowed to give out technical fouls for any taunting or foul language by members of the team or their respective spectators.

12. The team will be held responsible fort their fans’ negative comments or actions towards the officials and committee members.

13. Calling any of the officials, timekeepers, scorekeepers, or any member of the basketball committee insulting names will not be tolerated and will result in a technical foul.
