ILIGAN CITY – A High-Value Individual (HVI) involved in illegal drug activities was arrested during a successful anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) under the leadership of PCOL MARIO M BAQUIRAN, JR, Officer In-Charge on the evening of June 4, 2026, in Purok 4, Barangay Saray, Iligan City.

The arrested suspect male, 46 years old, single, jobless, and a resident of Barangay Saray, Iligan City. The operation was jointly conducted by personnel of CDEU-ICPO under the supervision of PCOL Mario M. Baquiran, Jr., Officer In-Charge, in coordination with PDEA-10 Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, Iligan City Mobile Force Company, Iligan City Maritime Group, and intelligence operatives of ICPS 5. The buy-bust operation was carried out pursuant to PDEA Pre-Operation Number 11-00-06042026-002 and TIP A-202606-14-PRO10-ICPO-CDEU.
Seized during the operation were three (3) large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and five (5) small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substances believed to be shabu, along with marked buy-bust money amounting to Three Hundred Pesos (Php 300.00).

The confiscated illegal drugs weighed approximately 80 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 544,000.00.

The suspect is currently under police custody for proper disposition and the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Officer In-Charge, commended the operating units and emphasized the ICPO's unwavering commitment to the campaign against illegal drugs. “This successful operation is a testament to the relentless efforts of our law enforcement personnel and partner agencies in protecting our communities from the dangers of illegal drugs. We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations and pursue individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. Let this serve as a strong warning that there is no safe haven for drug offenders in Iligan City. The Iligan City Police Office remains steadfast in its mission to ensure a safer and drug-free community for all,” he said.

The Iligan City Police Office assures the public that it will continue to strengthen its anti-illegal drug campaign through sustained enforcement operations, community partnership, and close coordination with allied agencies in support of a safer and more secure Iligan City.

Under the leadership of PCOL MARIO M BAQUIRAN, JR, Officer In-Charge of Iligan City Police Office (ICPO), law enforcement authorities successfully served a Warrant of Arrest against the Top 4 Most Wanted Person at the City Level for the crime of Statutory R**e on the evening of June 3, 2026.

The accused was a male, 47 years old, married, a construction worker, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Mohon, Aloran, Misamis Occidental, the warrant of arrest was served at around 8:00 PM inside the Misamis Occidental Provincial Reformatory Jail in Oroquieta City.

The operation was jointly conducted by personnel of the 1005th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, led by PCPT MOHD. BIN KHAER MANGOTARA, Company Commander, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL BERNARD E PAGADUAN, AFC, together with personnel from the 2nd Maneuver Company, RMFB 10, Aloran Municipal Police Station, 5th Special Operations Unit-Maritime Group, and ICPS4-ICPO.

The accused was properly informed of the nature of the charge against him and the existence of the warrant. His constitutional rights were likewise explained in a language known and understood by him.

"This accomplishment reflects the strong coordination and dedication of our law enforcement personnel in pursuing individuals who seek to evade justice. We remain steadfast in our commitment to protect the community, uphold the rule of law, and ensure that those facing criminal charges are held accountable through the proper legal process. SERBISYONG MABILIS NG PNP, NAGRESULTA SA PAGKAKAARESTO AT PAGKAREKOBER NG ARMAS

Ipinakita ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang mabilis at epektibong pagtugon matapos ang insidente ng pagpapaputok ng baril sa isang komunidad, kung saan agad na rumesponde ang mga tauhan at nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng mga suspek at pagkakarekober ng baril sa Iloilo City.

Ayon sa ulat, isang commotion ang naitala sa lugar na nauwi sa pagpapaputok ng baril na nagdulot ng pangamba sa mga residente. Agad namang tumugon ang Iloilo City Police Station 6 upang tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng publiko at maiwasan ang posibleng paglala ng sitwasyon.

Sa isinagawang mabilis na operasyon, narekober ng mga rumespondeng pulis ang isang 9mm pistol na may laman pang bala at isang fired cartridge case. Kasunod nito, sa tuloy-tuloy na imbestigasyon at follow-up operation, nahuli ang mga suspek na ngayon ay nahaharap sa kaukulang kaso.

Ayon kay PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ang ganitong mabilis na pagtugon ay patunay ng patuloy na pag-igting ng kapulisan sa pagbibigay ng proteksyon sa komunidad.

“Hindi natin palalampasin ang anumang banta sa seguridad ng ating mga komunidad. Ang agarang aksyon ng ating mga pulis ay bahagi ng ating pananagutan—siguraduhing ligtas ang bawat mamamayan at agad na papanagutin ang mga lalabag sa batas,” ani Nartatez.

Dagdag pa niya, mahalaga ang aktibong presensya ng pulisya sa mga komunidad upang mapigilan ang paglala ng mga insidente at mapanatili ang kapayapaan, lalo na sa mga oras ng gabi.

Ang matagumpay na operasyon ay patunay ng patuloy na pagtupad ng PNP sa tungkulin nitong maglingkod at magprotekta, alinsunod sa adhikain ng Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.

PNP ISKOLAR, MATAGUMPAY NA NAGTAPOS SA DARAGA, ALBAY

Naghatid ng inspirasyon ang programang Project F.I.V.E. (Fight Insurgency Via Education) ng Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5 (RMFB 5) matapos opisyal na makapagtapos sa kolehiyo ang isa nitong iskolar noong Mayo 29, 2026 sa Daraga Community College.

Ang naturang iskolar ay nagtapos ng kursong Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), sa kabila ng mga hamon sa buhay at pinansyal na dinanas habang nag-aaral. Sa pamamagitan ng tiyaga, disiplina, at determinasyon, nakamit niya ang pangarap na makapagtapos ng kolehiyo.

Ayon sa RMFB 5, ang tagumpay ng iskolar ay malinaw na patunay na ang edukasyon ay epektibong sandata laban sa kahirapan at iba’t ibang banta sa kapayapaan, kabilang ang insurhensiya. Layunin ng Project F.I.V.E. na bigyan ng libreng edukasyon at suporta ang mga kabataan mula sa mga komunidad na nangangailangan upang sila ay mahubog bilang produktibong mamamayan.

Pahayag ni PNP Chief PGen Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., “Ang bawat batang natutulungan nating makapagtapos ay isang hakbang palayo sa karahasan at isang hakbang patungo sa mas maayos na kinabukasan. Ito ang tunay na diwa ng serbisyo ng PNP—ang magbigay ng pag-asa.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Hindi lamang ito simpleng programa; ito ay pamumuhunan sa kinabukasan ng ating bayan. Sa bawat iskolar na nagtatagumpay, mas pinatitibay natin ang kapayapaan sa komunidad.”

Ang RMFB 5 ay patuloy na isinusulong ang Project F.I.V.E. bilang bahagi ng mas malawak na adbokasiya para sa kapayapaan at kaunlaran, na nagbibigay ng alternatibong landas sa kabataan tungo sa edukasyon at mas produktibong buhay.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay patunay ng tuloy-tuloy na malasakit at serbisyo ng kapulisan sa komunidad sa ilalim ng Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
