On March 12, 2026, at 3:30 PM, students and teachers participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. The exercise aimed to enhance preparedness for seismic events and promote safety among participants.
During the drill, students practiced the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique, which is vital for protecting oneself during an earthquake. As part of the simulation, three victims were created to represent individuals needing rescue. The school’s emergency responders applied skills learned during their training to successfully simulate the rescue of these "victims."
Andres Longatan, the head of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), along with his team and personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Aguinaldo, were present to observe and assess the performance of the students. This assessment provided valuable feedback for improving school emergency protocols and enhancing the overall effectiveness of the drill.
The event highlighted the importance of preparedness and community cooperation in mitigating the impacts of natural disasters, ensuring that students and teachers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in real-life situations.

Thirty-six selected students of Rufino I. Chungalao Science High School completed a four-day Emergency Response Training from February 24 to 27 at the school’s covered court, equipping them with critical lifesaving skills. The training conducted by the MDRRM-Aguinaldo and BFP Aguinaldo and aimed to prepare students to respond effectively during emergencies through a series of structured lectures, demonstrations, and return demonstrations. Participants performed bandaging, splinting, knot crafts, carries, and transport techniques before taking part in a full-scale simulation involving mock incident victims on the final day. The activity strengthened student readiness and reinforced the school's commitment to disaster preparedness and MDRRM's proactive mandate to emergency incidents.

Grade 12 learners of Rufino I. Chungalao Science High School (RICSHS) participated in a Robotics Training-Workshop held at the school’s covered court, aimed at strengthening their skills for their Capstone subject on January 30.
The activity focused on introducing coding using Arduino Uno, a vital component for developing functional Capstone outputs. The training was facilitated by instructors from Ifugao State University (IFSU), namely Sirs Jason Gagasa and Dexter Dale Lumiwan, who served as the resource speakers and workshop facilitators.
The program began with an opening ceremony, followed by a short but informative lecture on the basics of robotics and Arduino programming. After the lecture, participants engaged in a hands-on workshop, where they were guided step by step in applying coding concepts to actual robotics tasks.
Adding to the collaborative learning experience, BSIT students from IFSU–Aguinaldo Campus joined the workshop to assist and work alongside the Grade 12 learners. Their presence provided peer support and helped bridge theory with practical application.
The said training was conducted to equip participants with foundational knowledge and skills in robotics and coding, empowering them to design and implement technology-based solutions for their Capstone projects. The activity highlighted the importance of collaboration between secondary and tertiary institutions in promoting partnerships. #
