maintains its strength over the sea east of Aurora.
• has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 985 hPa.
• It will then cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and emerge over the waters west of Ilocos Region tomorrow morning.
• may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) region on Friday (25 October).
• is forecast to intensify into a severe tropical storm before making landfall. Slight weakening will occur while crossing Northern Luzon. Re-intensification may occur over the West Philippine Sea.
• There is a moderate to significant risk of life-threatening storm surge in the next 48 hours over the low-lying or exposed coastal localities of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Zambales, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes.
