Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. South Senior High School proudly celebrates our Sepak Takraw athletes for their outstanding performance in the Mayor’s Cup Phase II – City Athletic Association Meet.

Their hard work, discipline, teamwork, and determination have brought pride and honor to our school. Congratulations to our athletes and their coach, Ms. Louisiana de los Reyes, for this remarkable achievement.

To our amazing School Paper Advisers (SPAs), thank you for your patience, guidance, countless hours, and unwavering support. Last September 4, 2026, Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. South Senior High School participated in the Division Kick-Off of the National Teachers Month Celebration with the theme “Teacher, Ikaw Naman!”

During the event, nine newly hired Southernians teachers formally took their oath as newly appointed teachers, marking the beginning of their journey in public service and their commitment to serving the learners.

The school also received two brand-new laptops from the LGU of General Trias, led by our Mayor Luis “Jon-Jon” Ferrer and Vice Mayor Jonas P. Labuguen, as part of their continued support for teachers and schools.

The celebration highlights the importance of giving teachers the appreciation and support they truly deserve.

Southernian Journalists Take Part in Day 1 of 2026 Division Schools Press Conference Camp

Southernian student journalists, together with their dedicated School Paper Advisers (SPAs), proudly took part in the Opening Program and Day 1 of the 2026 Division Schools Press Conference Camp, “Project Incubator,” held at Sunny Brooke Elementary School and Governor Ferrer Memorial Integrated National High School.

The four-week activity aims to provide training, knowledge, and hands-on learning experiences that will help young journalists further develop their skills in campus journalism. It also serves as an important avenue to prepare them for the upcoming press conference competitions by equipping them with the confidence, techniques, and discipline they need to perform at their best.

The Southernian delegation extends its heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated school head, Sir Ruben S. Montoya, for his unwavering support and for being with us throughout this important activity. Your presence and encouragement mean so much to our student journalists and SPAs.

Here’s to learning, growing, writing, and telling stories that matter! May this camp continue to inspire our young journalists to become responsible, courageous, and committed storytellers who are ready to use their voices to inform, inspire, and make a difference.
