The DOLE Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program is a community-based, cash-for-work program in the Philippines providing emergency employment (10–30 days) to displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers. Beneficiaries are paid minimum wage to work on local community projects such as cleaning, disinfecting, or repair.

The TUPAD beneficiaries from barangay CENTRO NORTE and CENTRO SUR are deployed at GATTARAN FREEDOM and NATURE PARK from April 29 to May 15 2026.

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office (MPDC), together with barangay officials, conducted a dialogue with junkshop owners operating in Casicallan Sur, Centro Norte, San Vicente, and Nasipping.

The meeting aimed to address concerns related to environmental compliance, business permit regulations, zoning policies, and proper waste management practices. It also provided an opportunity for junkshop owners to raise issues, clarify requirements, and align their operations with local ordinances.

Isang piggery sa barangay FUGU ang pinuntahan ng Municipal Environment and Natural Resources (MENRO), MPDC at ilang barangay officials at nagsagawa ng inspeksyon sa nasabing piggery. Ayon sa report nakatanggap ng reklamo ang naturang piggery na may hindi ka aya ayang amoy at walang proper waste disposal.Inabisuhan din ang may ari na dapat mayroong sariling septic tank para sa dumi ng baboy, palagi ang paglilinis, at disinfection sa kulungan ng mga baboy.

April 08, 2026,Ang Municipal Environment and Natural Resources (MENRO) kasama ang Philippine National Police (PNP) at nagsagawa ng inspeksyon sa mga stall owners sa Centro Norte Public Market alin sunod sa pagpapatupad ng Municipal Ordinance No. 1-2016. Nakumpiska sa ilang may ari ng stall owners ang ibat ibang uri ng ng plastic bag, styro cups, fork, and spoons na ipinagbabawal gamitin sa ngayon sa bayan ng Gattaran!!

Penalties and Provisions:

First offense: Commercial establishments - A fine of ₱500
Ambulant vendor: A fine of₱200

Second offense: Commercial establishments: A fine of ₱1000
Ambulant vendor: A fine of ₱400

Third offense: Commercial establishments: A fine of ₱2,500 and cancellation of bussines permit
Ambulant vendor: A fine of ₱1000
