In a show of support for agricultural communities, the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Pampanga-Bataan Irrigation Management Office (PamBat IMO) handed over a P3.9 million subsidy to Pampanga Delta River Irrigation Systems (PDRIS) farmers at Solib, Floridablanca, Pampanga on February 26, 2025.
With the support of Regional Manager Engr. Josephine B. Salazar, IMO Manager Engr. Ruben R. Llamas presented the check to Mr. Nazario G. Vinuya, President of the PDRIS Federation of Irrigators' Associations, sealing a promise of continued assistance for the region's farmers. The P3,927,150 subsidy will help sustain 7,854.30 hectares of farmland, benefiting numerous farming families.
Also present at the turnover were PDRIS Operations & Maintenance Section Chief Engr. Clarita G. Silverio and staff, Administrative and Finance Section Chief Jocelyn O. Dizon, and Institutional Development Unit Head Reyna S. Sabado.
As Philippine agriculture faces growing challenges from climate change and economic pressures, this support reflect the governmentโs steadfast commitment to food security and rural prosperity in PDRIS farming communities.
