In celebration of Fire Prevention Month and World Water Day, a golden legumes Replanting Activity and Clean-Up Drive were successfully conducted through the joint efforts of the BFP, AFP, EMPS, and LGU Esperanza employees.

This meaningful activity reflects a shared commitment to protecting our environment and promoting a clean, green, and sustainable community.

Hon. Mayor Junjun Ploteña emphasized the vital role of collaboration and unity in achieving progress and accelerating the development of our municipality.

Adopt a Golden Legumes Designated Area

Maraming salamat sa lahat ng Barangays, schools, at organizations na nag-adopt ng mga Golden Legumes na itinanim sa kahabaan ng National Highway. Malaki ang inyong naitulong sa pagpapaganda ng ating kapaligiran at sa pagpapanatili ng kaayusan sa ating bayan.

Ang programang ito ay tugon sa panawagan ng ating butihing Mayor Junjun Ploteña na magkaisa at magtulungan ang buong komunidad upang lalo pang mapaganda at mapaunlad ang Bayan ng Esperanza.

Inaanyayahan din namin ang iba pang paaralan at organisasyon na nais pang mag-adopt ng Golden Legumes areas upang sama-sama nating mapanatili ang kalinisan at kagandahan ng ating mga lansangan.

The 2nd batch of Community Mapping and Key Informant Interviews (KII) was successfully conducted with the active participation of Barangay Ilian, Barangay Legodon, and Barangay Salumping as part of the ongoing preparation of the Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) of the Municipality of Esperanza.

This activity was made possible through the strong support and leadership of our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Mayor Junjun Ploteña whose commitment to sustainable forest management and environmental protection continues to guide the municipality’s initiatives.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with the DENR–CENRO, PENRO, MPDO, MENRO - LGU Esperanza, OAS, DAR, MSWD, MEO, Municipal Tourism Office, NCIP and Cave Restoration and Exploration Project (CREP) Inc., whose expertise greatly contributed to the identification and documentation of important natural resources.

Notably, Barangay Legodon and Barangay Salumping revealed the presence of numerous caves with strong potential for eco-tourism development, as well as areas of remaining virgin forest that highlight the importance of conservation and sustainable land management.

These findings will significantly contribute to the formulation of a science-based and community-driven Forest Land Use Plan for the municipality.

The participation and cooperation of the barangay officials, community members, and partner agencies demonstrate a shared commitment to protecting our forests while exploring responsible opportunities for sustainable tourism.

Maraming salamat sa pag-adopt at pag-aalaga ng Golden Legumes. Sa pag-aaruga nito, nakakatulong tayo sa pangangalaga at pagpapaganda nang ating kalikasan.

Sana mas marami pa ang magkaroon ng ganitong diwa—magtanim, mag-alaga, at makiisa sa pagbuo ng mas luntiang kinabukasan.

The 3rd FLUP Meeting successfully conducted a consultation, community mapping, and Key Informant Interviews (KII) with the active participation of Barangays Margues, Numo, Ilian, and Pamantingan.

The workshop was facilitated by the FLUP Technical Working Group (TWG) composed of DENR–CENRO, DENR–PENRO, and the LGU Esperanza, with the valuable presence of the NCIP to ensure the inclusion of ancestral domain concerns and indigenous knowledge.

This collaborative effort reflects our shared commitment to protect, preserve, and sustainably develop the Municipality’s forests and natural resources. Through community participation and local knowledge, we are building a stronger foundation for responsible resource management.

With the strong leadership and vision of Hon. Mayor Junjun Ploteña , the Municipality of Esperanza continues to move forward with a clear direction toward sustainable forest governance and environmental stewardship for present and future generations.
