“Working Hand in Hand para sa Batang Escalantehanon”
The 1987 Philippine Constitution provides that all Filipinos have the right to receive quality basic education. Basic public education is still largely the government’s responsibility through the Department of Education. On the other hand, the transfer of basic social services falls under the mandate of the Local Government Unit.
Procurement of supplies and materials like bond papers, printers, bottled ink for module reproduction, the conduct of Dry Runs of Distance Learning Delivery Modalities, and Monitoring of the Pilot Run are just some of the scenarios which took place lately in the Schools Division of Escalante City as part of the preparation for the opening of classes. SDO Escalante City continues to find ways and utilizes its resources to implement the Learning Continuity Plan fully for the opening of classes. The Local Government Unit of Escalante City expresses its support to this cause.
Hon. Melecio J. Yap, Jr., City Mayor, City of Escalante, and city government officials supported the series of talks and meetings regarding the implementation of the Distance Learning Delivery Modalities for SY 2020-2021 with the Division Officials. The OIC-Schools Division Superintendent Madam Clarissa G. Zamora, CESO VI, is very thankful for the support extended by the local government to the Department.

This will entail RBI free of charge for six (6) hours from Monday to Friday and for one (1) hour for Kindergarten every Saturday.
On July 14, 2020, the LGU also donated and turned over the Nissan Urvan NV3500 Vehicle intended for monitoring and other related activities conducted by the SDO.

1. Handwashing facilities
2. Reproduction equipment
a. duplicators
b. photocopiers
3. Face Masks and thermal scanners
4. Radio Station with complete broadcasting equipment
5. Supplies, materials and manpower for the reproduction of Modules
Escalante City was also chosen as one of the six (6) pilot cities in the Philippines for Learning Facilitator Volunteer Program for Distance Learning.
The SDO is appreciating all the support coming from different stakeholders through the 41 schools in the division for the implementation of the schools’ LCPs.
“We’re all in this together. We know we can fly high. With God’s grace, our dreams will come true para sa batang Escalantehanon!”
