Nagbigay ng Medical Assistance ang Municipal Health Office โ€“ El Nido bilang suporta sa isinagawang Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) Training na inorganisa ng Municipal Tourism Office of El Nido.

Sa buong pagsasanay, nakahanda ang ating mga health personnel upang magbigay ng agarang serbisyong medikal at matiyak ang kaligtasan at kapakanan ng lahat ng kalahok. Ang pagkakaroon ng medical support sa mga ganitong aktibidad ay mahalagang bahagi ng paghahanda at pagtugon sa mga posibleng emerhensiya, lalo na sa mga gawaing may kaugnayan sa tubig at pagliligtas.

Patuloy na nakikiisa ang Municipal Health Office โ€“ El Nido sa mga programang naglalayong palakasin ang kakayahan ng ating mga tour guides at mga katuwang na ahensya upang mapanatili ang kaligtasan ng mga mamamayan at mga bisita ng ating bayan.

The El Nido Drinking Water Quality Monitoring Committee (ENDWQMC) successfully conducted its meeting at the Municipal Mayorโ€™s Conference Hall. The activity was attended by members of the committee to discuss important updates and concerns regarding the municipalityโ€™s water quality monitoring efforts.

Key agenda discussed during the meeting included re-organization of the ENDWQMC, presentation of water quality test results, and other relevant matters concerning the safety and quality of drinking water in the municipality.

The meeting served as a venue for the discussion of significant public health concerns, program updates, and strategic plans aimed at strengthening health services in the municipality.

Key agenda included the review of the Annual Operations Plan (AOP) 2027, updates on HIV cases and HIV prevention programs, Supplemental Immunization Activity (SIA), and the campaign plan for the Mental Health Program. The Municipal Government of El Nido is aware of a social media post circulating online regarding an alleged food poisoning incident involving tourists who had previously stayed in El Nido. We take all matters concerning public health, tourist safety, and welfare with utmost seriousness.

As of May 3, 2026, 11:37 AM, here is the official update:

1. The Municipal Government, through its concerned offices, is currently verifying the report and coordinating directly with the tourists involved to gather complete and accurate information regarding the incident.

2. Once the details are established and confirmed, sanitary inspectors and relevant offices will be deployed to conduct spot inspections of the food establishments, accommodations, and tour services availed of during the tourists' stay. An inter-agency meeting with the Municipal Tourism Office, Municipal Economic Enterprise and Development Office, Municipal Health Office, El Nido Municipal Police Station, and the Business Permits and Licensing Office will also be convened to assess compliance and determine appropriate actions.

3. The Municipality of El Nido strictly implements mandatory annual sanitation training, quarterly inspections, Food Safety Compliance Certifications, and water safety testing every two months for all tourism-related establishments under Municipal Ordinance No. 04, Series of 2024, consistent with Presidential Decree No. 856 or the Sanitation Code of the Philippines.

4. We assure the public that the health and safety of both tourists and residents remain a top priority.

We respectfully ask everyone to refrain from spreading and sharing unverified information while the investigation is ongoing.
Should any establishment be found to have violated existing health and sanitation standards, the LGU will take the necessary actions and impose sanctions in accordance with the law.

A comprehensive and transparent report will be released to the public once the investigation has been concluded.

Sa bawat sakripisyo, malasakit, at walang sawang paglilingkod, patuloy ninyong pinapakita na ang kalusugan ng bayan ay isang misyong pinagbubuklod ng puso, serbisyo, at dedikasyon.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The scheduled Operation Tuli at Barangay Bagong Bayan on April 30, 2026 will not push through.

Due to the low number of pre-registered clients, the activity will be rescheduled to a later date to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that government resources are used wisely for the benefit of more participants.

We encourage those who are still interested to continue coordinating with your Barangay Health Workers for the next schedule.
