𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC) personnel together with the CGSS Bacolod and Operational Control (OPCON) Units led by Acting Station Commander, CGS NNOC, Commander Artzell M Anacan PCG, actively participated in the launching of 𝐒. 𝐀. 𝐅. 𝐄, 𝐍𝐈𝐑-𝐃𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝟗𝟏𝟏 held at Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Multi - Purpose Gym, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, followed by motorcade caravan around Bacolod City, today 04 June 2026.

The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) continues to enhance police services throughout Negros Island and Siquijor through the implementation of the SAFE NIR Program, introduced by PBGEN ROMANO V CARDIŇO, ARD, PRONIR. The acronym 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘 stands for 𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗡, 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗗, 𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗧 and 𝗘𝗫𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗬, reflecting the Philippine National Police's Focused Agenda anchored on the vision of “𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘕𝘗 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘉𝘢𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴: 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘪𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘴, 𝘛𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘵, 𝘢𝘵 𝘕𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯.”

Moreover, the participation of CGS NNOC in this significant initiative demonstrates the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration and supporting programs that promote public safety, efficient emergency response, and quality public service for the communities of Negros Island Region.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC) personnel, together with its Sub-Stations, actively participated in 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme, “𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑷𝒂𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏: 𝑵𝒂𝒈𝒌𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑲𝒂𝒂𝒚𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏,” conducted from 01–04 June 2026 within the areas of responsibility of CGS NNOC.

The activity aimed to support the Department of Education's initiative in preparing schools for the opening of classes by promoting volunteerism, community involvement, and collaboration among stakeholders. Coast Guard personnel rendered assistance through various school maintenance and clean-up activities, helping ensure a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students and educators.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Coast Guard to nation-building and community service, fostering unity and shared responsibility in advancing quality education for the youth.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Demonstrating its commitment to public service and safety, the Nursing Service Sub-Unit – Southern Visayas (NSSU-SV), together with its medical team and ambulance crew, provided emergency medical standby coverage during the Kabulakan Festival and Negros Oriental 2026 Dragonboat League held on 23 May 2026 at the Boulevard, Dumaguete City.

Throughout the event, Nurse Officers and personnel remained on standby to render immediate medical assistance, conduct health monitoring, and ensure the safety and well-being of athletes, participants, and spectators.

This deployment reflects NSSU-SV’s unwavering dedication to public safety, emergency preparedness, and quality healthcare support during major community and sporting events.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | MABINAY, NEGROS ORIENTAL — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Nursing Service Sub-Unit Southern Visayas (NSSU-SV) and Medical Station Southern Visayas (MEDS-SV) rendered medical team complement to support the Social Services Caravan held on 03 June 2026 at Barangay Tadlong, Mabinay, Negros Oriental.

The deployment was carried out upon the invitation of the Honorable Ernie T. Uy, Municipal Mayor of Mabinay, further strengthening the partnership between the Philippine Coast Guard and local government units in delivering essential healthcare, legal assistance, and social services to underserved communities.

The activity reflects the Coast Guard’s commitment to public service and humanitarian assistance by bringing essential services closer to the community.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡: Personnel from the Nursing Service Sub-Unit Southern Visayas (NSSU-SV) and Medical Station Southern Visayas (MEDS-SV) conducted a courtesy visit to the Philippine Red Cross – Negros Oriental Chapter and were warmly welcomed by Michelle Maquiling, RMT, Chapter Administrator.

The visit aimed to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and explore opportunities for partnership in the delivery of quality healthcare services, emergency medical response, and humanitarian initiatives that will benefit both the community and Coast Guard personnel.

The Coast Guard Nursing Service reaffirmed its commitment to fostering strong partnerships and supporting initiatives that promote public health, emergency preparedness, and community resilience.

ENHANCING MARITIME SAFETY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION

IN PHOTOS: Personnel of Coast Guard Station Northern Negros Occidental (CGS NNOC), together with its Sub-Stations under the leadership of Acting Station Commander, Commander Artzell M Anacan PCG, actively participated in the SEARCH AND RESCUE OPTIMAL PLANNING SYSTEM (SAROPS) AND OTHER MARITIME DOMAIN AWARENESS (MDA) TOOLS TRAINING conducted from 01–03 June 2026 at Headquarters, CGS NNOC, San Patricio Boulevard, Brgy. Puno Banago, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.

The activity was facilitated by personnel from Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV), led by the Director Command Center - CGDSV and Acting Deputy Chief of District Staff for Operations (D‑3), Lieutenant Junior Grade Kristomar L Miscala PCG, who formally concluded the three‑day training attended by twenty (20) CGS NNOC personnel.

The Search and Rescue Optimal Planning System (SAROPS) and Other Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Tools Training equipped Philippine Coast Guard personnel with advanced technologies and analytical tools essential for effective search and rescue operations, maritime surveillance, and operational decision-making.

Through this specialized training, CGS NNOC personnel enhanced their capabilities in mission planning, incident response, vessel tracking, and maritime situational awareness, ensuring faster, more coordinated, and data-driven operations in safeguarding lives at sea and protecting the country's maritime domain.

This initiative underscores the Philippine Coast Guard’s commitment to continuously strengthening operational readiness, embracing innovation, and promoting excellence in maritime safety and security.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Sub-Station Kabankalan personnel, led by the Acting Sub-Station Commander, Lieutenant Junior Grade Krislyn D Villarosa PCG, successfully conducted an information drive for 50 quarry workers from Brgy. 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. The activity was held at the Barangay Gymnasium on 01 June 2026, bringing together members of the community for an informative and meaningful session aimed at strengthening awareness and promoting safety.

The activity was conducted in close collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Kabankalan and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Kabankalan City. During the session, participating agencies provided valuable information on maritime safety, responsible conduct in water-related activities, and relevant laws governing the use of waterways. They also highlighted the importance of family welfare, encouraging participants to prioritize their loved ones and support their children's education through proper care, guidance, and strong family values.

This joint initiative reflects the strong partnership among government agencies in promoting safety, security, and community development. Through programs such as this, the Philippine Coast Guard continues to empower communities by providing essential knowledge and fostering a culture of responsibility, resilience, and cooperation in line with the objectives of the PCG iCARE Program.

In support to Brigada Eskwela 2026, Personnel of Coast Guard Station Southern Negros Occidental (CGS SNOC), under the leadership of LTJG JAMES C CARBAJOSA PCG and its Sub-Stations actively participated in BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 with a theme "Bayanihan sa Paaralan Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman" kick-off ceremony initiated in various lower and higher school levels within its area of responsibility (AOR) which officialy started today 01 to 05 June 2026.

This activity includes cleaning, repainting, minor repairs of school structures, rooms and other facilities to ensure a safe, clean and conducive learning environment for students and teachers as they prepare for the opening of classes of this year.

This initiative reflects the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to community service and nation-building through active participation in programs that promote education, volunteerism, and public welfare. Through collective efforts and collaboration with local stakeholders, CGS SNOC continues to demonstrate its dedication to serving not only the maritime sector but also the communities within its jurisdiction.
