๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž | Demonstrating its commitment to public service and safety, the Nursing Service Sub-Unit โ€“ Southern Visayas (NSSU-SV), together with its medical team and ambulance crew, provided emergency medical standby coverage during the Kabulakan Festival and Negros Oriental 2026 Dragonboat League held on 23 May 2026 at the Boulevard, Dumaguete City.

Throughout the event, Nurse Officers and personnel remained on standby to render immediate medical assistance, conduct health monitoring, and ensure the safety and well-being of athletes, participants, and spectators.

This deployment reflects NSSU-SVโ€™s unwavering dedication to public safety, emergency preparedness, and quality healthcare support during major community and sporting events.

The activity was facilitated by personnel from Coast Guard District Southern Visayas (CGDSV), led by the Director Command Center - CGDSV and Acting Deputy Chief of District Staff for Operations (Dโ€‘3), Lieutenant Junior Grade Kristomar L Miscala PCG, who formally concluded the threeโ€‘day training attended by twenty (20) CGS NNOC personnel.

The Search and Rescue Optimal Planning System (SAROPS) and Other Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) Tools Training equipped Philippine Coast Guard personnel with advanced technologies and analytical tools essential for effective search and rescue operations, maritime surveillance, and operational decision-making.

Through this specialized training, CGS NNOC personnel enhanced their capabilities in mission planning, incident response, vessel tracking, and maritime situational awareness, ensuring faster, more coordinated, and data-driven operations in safeguarding lives at sea and protecting the country's maritime domain.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: Coast Guard Sub-Station Kabankalan personnel, led by the Acting Sub-Station Commander, Lieutenant Junior Grade Krislyn D Villarosa PCG, successfully conducted an information drive for 50 quarry workers from Brgy. 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. The activity was held at the Barangay Gymnasium on 01 June 2026, bringing together members of the community for an informative and meaningful session aimed at strengthening awareness and promoting safety.

The activity was conducted in close collaboration with the Philippine National Police (PNP) Kabankalan and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Kabankalan City. During the session, participating agencies provided valuable information on maritime safety, responsible conduct in water-related activities, and relevant laws governing the use of waterways. They also highlighted the importance of family welfare, encouraging participants to prioritize their loved ones and support their children's education through proper care, guidance, and strong family values.

This joint initiative reflects the strong partnership among government agencies in promoting safety, security, and community development. Through programs such as this, the Philippine Coast Guard continues to empower communities by providing essential knowledge and fostering a culture of responsibility, resilience, and cooperation in line with the objectives of the PCG iCARE Program.

In support to Brigada Eskwela 2026, Personnel of Coast Guard Station Southern Negros Occidental (CGS SNOC), under the leadership of LTJG JAMES C CARBAJOSA PCG and its Sub-Stations actively participated in BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 with a theme "Bayanihan sa Paaralan Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman" kick-off ceremony initiated in various lower and higher school levels within its area of responsibility (AOR) which officialy started today 01 to 05 June 2026.

This activity includes cleaning, repainting, minor repairs of school structures, rooms and other facilities to ensure a safe, clean and conducive learning environment for students and teachers as they prepare for the opening of classes of this year.

This initiative reflects the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to community service and nation-building through active participation in programs that promote education, volunteerism, and public welfare. Through collective efforts and collaboration with local stakeholders, CGS SNOC continues to demonstrate its dedication to serving not only the maritime sector but also the communities within its jurisdiction.
