“𝐁𝐮𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠-𝐨𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲” 𝐬𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨

Ang Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands ubos sa pagdumala ni Governor Nilo P. Demerey, Jr., pinaagi sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, naghatag ug suporta ug nakigduyog sa selebrasyon sa “Buyan nan Mag-ooma ug Managatay” Culmination Program nga gihimo sa Cagdianao Cultural and Sports Center, Province of Dinagat Islands karong Mayo 28, 2026.

Gipadayag ni Provincial Agriculturist Rico B. Galinato sa iyang mensahe ang iyang pagpasalamat ug pagdayeg sa Municipal Government of Cagdianao tungod sa padayon nga suporta ug paningkamot alang sa sektor sa agrikultura. Nagpasalamat usab siya sa mga mag-uuma ug mananagat nga giila isip mga bayani sa komunidad tungod sa ilang dakong kontribusyon sa produksyon sa pagkaon ug pagpalambo sa ekonomiya.

Gipaambit usab ni PA Galinato ang iyang “4Ps” nga iyang unang gipasundayag sa mga mag-uuma ug mananagat niaging tuig, nga nagpasabot sa Pangandoy, Paningkamot, Panaghiusa, ug Pag-ampo. Karong tuiga, gidugangan niya kini og ikalimang “P” nga mao ang Paglahutay, isip pahimangno nga dili angay muhunong hangtod makab-ot ang pangandoy.

“Naay adlaw sa paghulat, kay sa uma ug sa dagat, ang mudaog dili kanang pinakakusgan—kundi kanang pinakalig-on sa paglahutay,” dugang niya.

Agi ug suporta sa probinsya sa maong kalihukan, naghatag ang Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands pinaagi sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist og 10 ka sako sa complete fertilizer (14-14-14) ug 10 ka rolyo nga pisi para sa mga mag-uuma ug mananagat.

Niadtong adlaw sa Mayo 25, 2026 malampusong gipahigayon ang Agriculture and Fishery Council (AFC) Forum sa Brgy. Justiniana Edera Function Hall, San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

Kini nga kalihokan nagpakita sa padayon nga suporta ug panglantaw ni Governor Nilo P. Demerey, Jr., atol sa pagsaulog sa Bulan sa Mag-uuma ug Mangingisda, kung diin gihatagan og importansya ang tingog sa mga mag-uuma ug mangingisda. Tumong niini nga mapalig-on ang komunikasyon ug panaghiusa sa gobyerno ug sa sektor sa agrikultura ug pangisdaan aron makahimo og mas epektibo nga mga programa ug serbisyo nga makatubag sa ilang panginahanglan.

Pinaagi sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, malampusong gipatuman ang maong aktibidad nga gitambongan sa mga miyembro sa Agricultural and Fishery Council (AFC) uban sa ilang mga Municipal Agricultural and Fishery Council (MAFC) Coordinators sa nagkalain-laing munisipyo sa probinsya. Gipadayag ni Provincial Agriculturist Rico B. Galinato ang kahinungdanon sa maong forum isip paagi sa paghimo og dugayng solusyon ug lig-on nga mga plano alang sa kaayohan sa mga mag-uuma ug mangingisda. Matud pa niya, ang mga partisipante mao ang tingog sa matag sektor sa komunidad.

Mitambong usab si Hon. Ali P. Adlawan, Board Member ug Chairman sa Committee on Agriculture, diin iyang gihatag ang mensahe mahitungod sa dakong papel sa mga mag-uuma ug mangingisda sa kalamboan sa probinsya. “Stronger together for a better tomorrow.”

Human sa forum, gipahigayon usab ang Coastal Clean-up Drive sa Remedy Camp, Brgy. Wilson, San Jose, Dinagat Islands uban sa Junior Boy Scout of the Philippines isip kabahin sa padayong paningkamot sa pagpanalipod sa kinaiyahan ug pagmintinar sa kalimpyo sa atong kabaybayonan. Ang maong kalihokan nagpakita sa panaghiusa ug kooperasyon sa komunidad alang sa mas limpyo ug mas malungtarong palibot.

🌱 𝑨𝑵𝑨𝑲 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒔𝒂 𝒃𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒐

Malampuson ug makahuluganon nga gipahigayon sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) ang Adlaw nga Natawhan, Adlaw sa Kinaiyahan (ANAK) Program kagahapong adlaw sa 21 Mayo 2026 sa Provincial Agri-Fishery Technology Demonstration and Research Center sa Brgy. Justiniana Edera, Dinagat, Dinagat Islands.

Kabahin sa programa ang fellowship nga gipangulohan ni Jestony K. Escobar, Agricultural Technologist, diin iyang gipaambit ang bersikulo gikan sa Psalms 46:1 — “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Ang maong mensahe nagsilbing pahinumdom sa tanan nga ang Ginoo maoy kasaligan nga dangpanan ug kusog ilabina sa panahon sa kalisdanan.

Naghatag usab og mensahe si Rico B. Galinato, Provincial Agriculturist, nga may kalabutan sa maong bersikulo. Iyang gipasiugda ang importansya sa pagpasalamat sa tanang grasya, panalangin, ug mga oportunidad nga gihatag, ingon man ang pagpadayon sa pagtinabangay alang sa kaayohan sa komunidad ug kinaiyahan.

Padayon nga nagpalig-on ang OPAg sa mga programa nga nagsuporta sa agrikultura ug pag-amuma sa kinaiyahan alang sa kaayohan sa matag Dinagatnon.

Para sa mas hapsay ug produktibo nga pagpanguma, ania ang Cropping Calendar and Pattern of Planting sa nagkalain-laing tanom sa Probinsya sa Dinagat Islands, lakip ang humay, mais, cassava, ampalaya, pole sitao, mungbean, squash, watermelon, cucumber, upo, kangkong, sweet pepper, okra, sili, eggplant, patola, gabi, garlic, ginger, ug carrots.

Kini nga kalendaryo nagsilbing giya sa hustong panahon sa pag-andam sa yuta, pagtanom, pag-atiman sa tanom, ug pag-ani aron matabangan ang atong mga mag-uuma sa pagplano sa ilang produksyon ug pagpauswag sa ani.

The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist presents the current Food Supply Inventory and Food Sufficiency Status of the Province of Dinagat Islands, based on standing crops and existing aquaculture stocks as of April 10, 2026.

The expected harvest from April to July 2026 shows a total projected yield of 4,625.68 MT for cereals, 302.06 MT for root crops, 769.50 MT for fruits, 236.56 MT for lowland vegetables, and 13.195 MT for fisheries/aquaculture. In terms of sufficiency levels, commodities with supply levels above 100% are classified as surplus, including Pechay, Eggplant, Cucumber, Watermelon, and Tilapia. Meanwhile, Palay, Corn, Cassava, Sweet Potato, Squash, Okra, Ampalaya, Tomato, Pole Sitao, Banana Cardava, and Milkfish are projected to have deficits, as their sufficiency levels fall below 100%.

This projected supply inventory serves as a basis for planning, monitoring, and implementing strategic actions to improve food production and sufficiency across municipalities. It also provides relevant information to guide decision-making, strengthen local food security, and support future agricultural and fisheries development initiatives in the province.

𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶-𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 | 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀

The Province of Dinagat Islands presents its 2025 Agri-Fishery Supply Production, recording a total production of 13,601.43 metric tons (MT) across cereals, root crops, vegetables, fruits, and fisheries/aquaculture.

Leading this year’s production is Palay, recognized as the highest produced commodity with 7,090.05 MT, followed by key commodities such as banana cardava, watermelon, squash, sweet potato, cassava, mango, eggplant, tuna, and ampalaya.

Among municipalities, Libjo ranked as the top producing municipality, followed by Basilisa, Tubajon, Cagdianao, Loreto, Dinagat, and San Jose.

This achievement reflects the continued dedication of our farmers, fisherfolk, agricultural workers, and partner LGUs in strengthening food security and promoting sustainable agri-fishery development in the province.

Roxas, Tubajon, nga napili nga na mamahimong Regional Fisherfolk Director sa BFAR-Caraga sulod sa usa ka bulan niining bulan sa Mayo isip pag saulog sa Farmers and Fisherfolk Month kauban ang mga personahe sa BFAR-Caraga ngadto kang Rico B. Galitano sa opisina sa Provincial Agriculturist, ug usab sa opisina sa Gobernador diin gidawat kini ni Edionel D. Isidor, RN, Provincial Administrator, isip representante sa Provincial Governor.
