MANILA - The Croatian Employment Services, in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), has opened around 435 job opportunities for Filipino workers under a Government-to-Government (G2G) hiring program, marking a significant step in expanding safe overseas employment opportunities for Filipinos in Europe.
“This is a direct result of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to open dignified and safe opportunities for Filipinos abroad. Ang mahalaga dito, malinaw ang kasunduan at parehong gobyerno [Philippines and Croatia] ang nagbabantay. That means may proteksiyon, may suporta, at siguradong may respeto sa ating mga manggagawa,” DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac said.
The DMW continues to expand government-to-government hiring initiatives that guarantee fairness, transparency, and protection for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
As part of the pilot recruitment round, the job openings cover three major positions in the hospitality and food service sectors: 255 Room Attendants, 110 Waiters, and 70 Cooks.
To qualify, applicants must be Filipino citizens aged 18 years and above, have completed at least 10 years of education (secondary level), possess a TESDA NC II Certification in the relevant field, and be physically and mentally fit for overseas employment. English proficiency is required, but prior work experience is not mandatory.
A valid NBI clearance, PSA-issued birth certificate, and passport with at least one year validity must also be presented.
Successful candidates will be employed in Croatia, and their competitive salaries will range from €976.99 to €1,079.24, or approximately ₱62,500 to ₱69,000 gross monthly, depending on the position.
Interested applicants must register online via the DMW Portal (https://portal.dmw.gov.ph), secure an appointment, and personally submit their documentary requirements to the DMW Central Office in Ortigas or any DMW Regional Office. Submissions through courier will not be accepted. Only those with complete documents will be processed.
The deadline for submission of applications is September 24, 2025, while interviews for pre-qualified applicants are scheduled for October 15, 2025 (Wednesday) in Mandaluyong City.
The DMW reminded applicants that only those with complete documents will be accepted and that transfer of appointments between DMW offices will not be allowed. The list of pre-qualified applicants for interview will be posted by the Department.
The Department finally reminded all job applicants to be cautious and vigilant against illegal recruiters.
