ADVISORY

28 April 2024 - In view of the latest heat index forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the announcement of a nationwide transport strike, all public schools nationwide shall implement ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES/DISTANCE LEARNING on April 29 and 30, 2024.

Likewise, teaching and non-teaching personnel in all public schools shall not be required to report to their respective stations.

However, activities organized by Regional and Schools Division Offices, such as Regional Athletic Association Meets and other division or school level programs, to be conducted on the aforementioned dates may push through as scheduled, provided that measures for the safety of all participants have been carefully considered.

Finally, private schools shall not be covered by this advisory but shall have the option to implement the same.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐨 𝐄𝐒, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧

A new perimeter fence with a beautiful gate in Dolo Elementary School, Bansalan was turned over on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 by the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur.

The project, valued at nearly 2 million pesos, aims to enhance security and provide a welcoming entrance for the students and staff.

Governor Yvonne Roña Cagas, Board Member Rey Ayo, and Board Member Frank Tongcos led the turnover ceremony.

It was attended by Bansalan Vice Mayor Samuel Gadingan, Deputy Governor Quirina Sarte, some municipal and barangay councilors, teachers, parents, students, local officials, and other guests.

On April 3, 2024 at 9:00 o’clock in the morning the Province of Davao del Sur though the leadership of Congressman Jhon Tracy F. Cagas turn-over 1 building with 2 classroom at Darapuay Elementary School, Bansalan, Davao del Sur. The school building construction funded by Basic Education Facilities Fund (BEEF). The said activity was attended by our active and dynamic Schools Division Superintendent Lorenzo E. Mendoza, CESO V with the SGOD Chief Mario C. Mondejar,School Head Jerry J. Mijares, DPWH Engineer Roujay S. Paja, Barangay Captain Adjutor L. Candones with the Barangay Councilors, SPTA Officers headed by the supportive President Daylinda O. Villegas, RPSB Team Darapuay headed by PMSG Romy C. Cruz, Stakeholders, Teachers, SELG Officers and pupils also grace the turn-over ceremony.
Eleven classroom buildings in Darapuay Elementary School were totally damaged due to the 2019 6.7 magnitude earthquake which hit the said school and the entire Barangay of Darapuay that situated in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. Due to the lack of resources and ever-increasing enrollment, the school had to use temporary learning shelter (TLS) to accommodate its pupils.. The temporary learning shelters are made up of bamboo, plywood and coconut wood which are not conducive to learning environment for children.

Through the assistance provided by the Congressman of Davao del Sur Honorable Jhon Tracy F. Cagas with the support of our Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lorenzo E. Mendoza,CESO V, the 1 building with 2 classroom replacement was realize that amounting to Four Million Nine Hundred Seventy Nine Thousand Four Hundred Twenty One Pesos and Ninety Eight Centavos (P 4,979, 421.98) or approximately 5 million pesos. The Darapuay Elementary School teachers, pupils, stakeholders, barangay official, SPTA Officers and the community as well are very much grateful to received 1 building with 2 classroom that will benefit kindergarten and grade 1 pupils.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆

This newly installed school covered pathway initiated by the General Parent-Teacher Association of Vicente Duterte Elementary School - DepEd Davao del Sur led by our GPTA Board President, Mr. Royd B. Achecoso and his fellow GPTA Board Members from which funds of the construction of the covered pathway was from the implementation of fundraising activities, Family Day/King and Queen of Hearts. This project provides quality education and safe learning environment to our learners by giving them suitable facilities that promotes learning and growth.

This project also lowers the possibility of slips and falls from the rain while offering shelter from the sun and protection from the weather for learners, teachers, and even parents and guardians. Since it minimizes direct sun exposure and/or not be soaked in the rain, this enables our learners to move around safely especially during dismissal time while waiting for someone who will fetch them.
