Matagumpay na ipinagdiriwang ngayong Lunes, Agosto 10, 2026, ang Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED) Day 2026, bilang pagkilala at pagpapahalaga sa mayamang kultura, tradisyon, kaalaman, at pagkakakilanlan ng ating mga Indigenous Peoples.

Sa pangunguna ni Gng. Mary Joy Tungcaling, IPED Coordinator, kasama ang mga IP na g**o at mag-aaral, isinagawa ang pagdiriwang na tampok ang pagsusuot ng iba't ibang tradisyunal na IP na kasuotan. Ang mga kasuotang ito ay nagsisilbing pagpapakita ng pagmamalaki sa kultura at pagkilala sa mahalagang pamanang patuloy na naipapasa sa mga susunod na salinlahi.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang pagdiriwang na ito upang higit nating mapangalagaan, mapahalagahan, at maipagmalaki ang kultura at karunungan ng ating mga katutubong pamayanan.

Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang isang edukasyong kumikilala, gumagalang, at nagpapahalaga sa kultura at pagkakakilanlan ng bawat Indigenous Learner.

Almendras Elementary School proudly celebrated as players brought home medals and pride at the Santa Cruz North District Athletics Association (SCNDAA) District Meet 2026.

Almendras Elementary School proudly hosted key events of the Santa Cruz North District Athletics Association (SCNDAA) District Meet 2026

Our school grounds came alive as we served as the official venue for the Opening Program, Basketball, Athletics, and Chess. Student-athletes from both elementary and secondary levels across the district gathered to showcase their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The day began with a vibrant Opening Program that set the spirit of unity and pride for the entire meet. The energy continued on the basketball court with teamwork, on the athletics field with speed and endurance, and in the chess room with focus and strategy.

We also extend our appreciation to our Santa Cruz North male teachers who worked hard in the preparation of the athletic grounds, ensuring safe and game-ready venue for athletes. Special thanks to Sir Enrique N. Amaro Jr. P-1, District Sports Focal and his Alternate Sir Angelito N. Amaro for leading and ensuring smooth flow of respective events. We alao recognize the School Heads of the 14 schools of Santa Cruz North for their active participation in monitoring the games.

This successful event was made possible through the guidance and support of our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Hazel V. Luna, our School Principal and at the same time District Sports Focal, Mr. Enrique N. Amaro Jr., Alternate District Sports Focal Person, Mr. Angelito Amaro, and School Sports Focal Person, Mrs. Lorena L. Villamayor, together with our dedicated teachers, SPTA officers, parent volunteers, and Barangay officials Brgy. Kagawad Joie A. Cahiles and Brgy. Kagawad Ryan S. Adalim.

More than competition, the meet reminded us that when you power the team, you truly rule the game โ€” in sports and in character.

To all athletes: thank you for competing with grit and grace.
To our coaches and technical officials: thank you for your leadership.
To our SPTA, parents, and volunteers: thank you for your unwavering support.

Nourishing Minds in Our New Home

This 2026, Almendras Elementary School continues its commitment to every learnerโ€™s growth โ€” starting with their health.

Through the School-Based Feeding Program 2026 we provide nutritious hot meals every Monday and every Tuesday to Friday healthy snacks to our 270 SBFP feeding beneficiaries to help them stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn.

No child learns best on an empty stomach. Every nutritious meal we serve fuels young minds, strengthens growing bodies and inspires brighter dreams.

We are proud to serve these meals in our newly built Feeding Center, a gift from our SPTA headed by Pres. Joie A. Cahiles. This spacious and welcoming space makes every feeding day extra special.

And the best proof that itโ€™s working? Our kids:

Every bowl served is an investment in brighter futures, better attendance, and stronger bodies for learning.

Perla etc headed by our AO II Ms. Che Morato to our SPTA officers, parent volunteers and direct supervision of our School Principal Sir Enrique N. Amaro Jr. thank you for feeding not just stomachs, but hope.

Together, weโ€™re building healthier, happier kids and a stronger Almendras ES.
