BFP Tagum City Fire Station headed by FCINSP ESEQUIL M TABON represented by SFO1 Joseph T Talaid, Chief Operations participated in the Final Coordinative Meeting for the Milo Champ Run at the City Mayor’s Office Conference Room.

Also present at the meeting were representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP)–Tagum City, Tagum City Traffic Management Unit (TMU), City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Health Office, City Engineering Office, City Electrical Office, City Information Office, City Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, City Mayor’s Office, and other concerned City Government Offices.

The meeting focused on preparations, safety measures, responsibilities, and operational requirements to ensure the safe, orderly and successful conduct of the event.

The Bureau of Fire Protection, Regional Office Engineering Section, headed by SFO3 Ronald B Ramoga together with the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal represented by SFO2 Robert Carlo M Rafosala and Tagum City Fire Station, City Fire Marshal, FCINSP ESEQUIL M TABON conducted a Pre-Inspection and Site Evaluation of a proposed 1,000 square meter lot at Garinan Oil Terminal Incorporated (GOTI), Barangay Madaum, Tagum City, envisioned for the future establishment of a BFP Marine Fire Unit/Station.

This significant initiative was made possible through the unwavering support and commitment of the President of Garinan Oil Terminal Incorporated, Mr. Iñigo Taojo, whose continued partnership and dedication to fire safety and emergency preparedness contribute greatly to strengthening fire protection services in the community.

A coordinative meeting was conducted also with Company Manager Mr. Raymond Taojo and Project Engineer Rodil Ceasar Pagay, who represented Garinan Oil Terminal Incorporated. The meeting focused on the proposed site, project considerations and the necessary coordination for the future establishment of the facility.

This collaborative effort highlights the importance of strong partnerships between the BFP and the private sector in advancing fire safety, emergency preparedness and public protection.

𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐊𝐀𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐎-𝐓𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐔𝐏 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐓𝐘

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) actively participated in the BangkaSurero – Tidal Creek Cleanup Drive at San Isidro Creek, Nabintad Park, Purok Tugan, Barangay Madaum, Tagum City.

The cleanup drive was conducted as part of the Philippine Councilors League Week Celebration, spearheaded by the Philippine Councilors League of Davao del Norte in partnership with the City Government of Tagum. This initiative aims to address the accumulation of waste in creeks and waterways while promoting environmental responsibility and community participation.

Personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Tagum City Fire Station headed by FCINSP ESEQUIL M TABON together with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), were deployed to help ensure the safety and security of all participants throughout the activity.

The cleanup drive was supported by representatives from the Rotary Club of Tagum, Rotary Club of Tagum Golden Laces, Rotary Club of Tagum North, Hijo Resources Corporation, Barangay Madaum, Barangay San Isidro, Bangka Operators, and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

The BFP remains committed not only to saving lives and protecting property, but also to supporting initiatives that promote community safety, environmental protection, and disaster resilience.

BFP personnel of Tagum City Fire Station headed by FCINSP ESEQUIL M TABON, City Fire Marshal successfully conducted a Fire Safety Lecture at Hijo Super Foods, Tagum City. The activity aimed to enhance fire safety awareness, strengthen emergency preparedness, and equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively during fire incidents and other emergencies.

Through continuous fire safety education and practical drills, the Bureau of Fire Protection remains committed to promoting a culture of safety and preparedness in workplaces and communities, ensuring the protection of lives and property.

01 SEPTEMBER 2026 | BFP 11 JOINS 32ND CRIME PREVENTION WEEK

Demonstrating strong inter-agency unity, the Bureau of Fire Protection 11, led by Regional Director FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO and duly represented by Assistant Regional Director (ARD) for Operations, FSSUPT ALEX M PAMAYBAY, actively joined the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week (NCPW) celebration. Spearheaded by the National Police Commission Regional Office XI (NAPOLCOM RO XI) under Regional Director Ma. Teresa Tuburan-Pacudan, CESO IV, the week-long event runs from September 1 to 7, 2026, under the theme "Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities."

The observance includes key regional activities such as the Kick-Off Ceremony in Tagum City, a Thanksgiving Mass at the Police Regional Office 11 Chapel, the RTCCPCJ Members' Meeting at the Department of Health 11, and the grand Culmination Activity at Bagani Hall. Through its active presence, BFP 11 reinforces its commitment to working alongside partner agencies and community stakeholders to strengthen public safety, build trust, and foster a peaceful environment across the region.
