FIRE PREVENTION MONTH 2023 KICK-OFF CEREMONY
Monkayo Fire Station spearheaded by INSP IAN C CRUDA, MPA, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, starts the Fire Prevention Month 2023 with a motorcade around Poblacion area on 0700H 01 March 2023. The motorcade was participated by our partners in the government, namely, the 25th Infantry Battalion, Monkayo Police Station, MDRRMO Monkayo and LGU Monkayo. It was also attended by employees from Parkway, NCCC and All Win Commercial Corporation representing the business sector.
The motorcade was then followed by a short Kick-Off Ceremony Program which was held at the Monkayo Dome. The participants were encouraged to join the Bureau of Fire Protection in signing the wall of commitment signifying their pledge to take part in practicing fire prevention. Mrs. Alicia C. cabunoc, MPA, MDRRM Officer also gave her message of support for the said activity and for the future activities of BFP Monkayo as a partner organization in rescue operations and disaster preparedness.
The Fire Prevention Month which is observed every March by virtue of Presidential Proclamaiton No. 115-A issued by President Ferdinand E. Marcos. In line with this year’s theme: “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa”, we hope to raise the community’s involvement in making sure that our homes, our workplace, and our municipality is safe from destructive fire.
