A proud milestone as graduates of Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) successfully passed the Criminology Licensure Examination and are now Newly Registered Criminologists. This achievement is the result of years of hard work, perseverance, and dedication throughout their academic journey.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 I. 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲, a graduate of Davao Oriental State University, ranked 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 in the 2026 Criminology Licensure Examination (CLE) with an average rating of 𝟵𝟮.𝟯𝟱%, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in its announcement today, March 13.

Behind this success are countless late nights of studying, personal sacrifices, and the determination to keep moving forward despite the challenges. Their achievement brings pride not only to themselves but also to their families, their mentors, and the entire Kislab Diwa class who supported them along the way.

As they step into the next chapter of their lives, these new criminologists carry with them the responsibility to uphold justice, integrity, and service to the community. May they continue to pursue their calling with honor and commitment. Congratulations to the Newly Registered Criminologists of Batch Kislab Diwa, Class of 2025—your hard work has truly paid off.

With honor and fulfillment, the Culmination Program for On-the-Job Training 1 and 2 was successfully conducted on June 11, 2025, at the FCJE Lobby.

Joined by the intern coordinators, respected faculty members, and our interns, the program marked the official conclusion of their training journey. It was a celebration of commitment, growth, and professional development, an achievement worth remembering.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 | 𝐏𝐑𝐄-𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

The 2025 Pre-Employment Seminar, held over two days at the University Gymnasium, officially wrapped up on May 8. Criminology interns, along with graduating students from different colleges of Davao Oriental State University, took part in the event aimed at preparing them for life beyond the university.

Throughout the seminar, participants explored essential topics such as job-hunting techniques, crafting effective resumes, mastering interview skills, and demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. They also learned about essential government services such as PAG-IBIG Fund, SSS, and PhilHealth, and gained awareness of RA 11261 or the First Time Jobseekers Assistance Act, which grants benefits and support to first-time applicants entering the workforce. These discussions were geared toward helping students become career-ready.

This yearly program was organized by the Office of Student Counseling and Development, in partnership with the Job Placement Office, and commenced on May 7.

On April 24, 2025, the Criminology Interns of Davao Oriental State University held their 7th Culmination Activity, officially marking the end of their internship program. This final culmination served as a significant milestone, symbolizing the completion of months of immersive fieldwork and applied learning in various partner agencies.

The interns were previously deployed to key institutions such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other law enforcement and public safety agencies. Throughout their deployment, they were given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop professional discipline, and contribute to the operations of their assigned units.

The culmination activity was held to recognize the efforts, growth, and achievements of the interns, as well as to express gratitude to the partner agencies for their continuous support and guidance. It also served as a platform for reflection, celebration, and affirmation of the interns’ readiness to face the real-world demands of the criminology profession.

On April 16, 2025, the Criminology Interns of Davao Oriental State University officially commenced their 7th External Deployment, marking the final phase of their internship journey. This deployment serves as the culminating experience of the internship program, wherein students apply the full extent of their academic and practical training in real-world settings.

Interns have been assigned to various national and local agencies such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other affiliated institutions involved in law enforcement, corrections, and public safety.

This last deployment symbolizes not only the students’ growth and preparedness for professional service but also their readiness to take on roles in the criminal justice system. It is a critical step toward graduation and entry into their chosen fields.

As the 7th deployment begins, the University and the Faculty wishes its interns a meaningful and successful conclusion to their internship experience.

On April 15, 2025, the Criminology Interns from Davao Oriental State University proudly marked a significant milestone as they held their 6th Culmination Activity in their respective agencies. This event served as the formal conclusion of their internship program, a vital component of their academic journey and professional development.

Interns were stationed in various law enforcement and public safety institutions such as the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other partner agencies across the region. Each agency hosted their own culmination program, which featured presentations, recognition ceremonies, and expressions of gratitude from both the interns and agency supervisors.

The culmination activity highlighted the knowledge, skills, and discipline the interns have gained throughout their fieldwork. Supervisors commended the interns for their dedication, professionalism, and adaptability as they contributed meaningfully to their assigned units.

For the students, the experience was not only a requirement fulfilled but also a memorable chapter filled with learning, challenges, and growth. Many expressed their deep appreciation for the opportunity to apply classroom theories in real-life scenarios, and for the mentorship provided by their field training officers.

On April 8, 2025, the Criminology Interns of Davao Oriental State University officially commenced their 6th External Deployment across various law enforcement and public safety agencies. This significant phase marks the beginning of their real-world training, as they step out of the classroom and into the field to apply the theories and practices they have learned throughout their academic journey.

The deployment involves multiple partner agencies including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other key institutions. Each intern has been assigned to a specific agency where they will undergo hands-on training and perform various duties under the guidance of experienced personnel.

This external deployment is a crucial part of the Criminology curriculum, providing students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in actual fieldwork, understand agency operations, and develop essential skills in communication, leadership, and critical thinking.

On April 7, 2025, the Criminology Interns of Davao Oriental State University proudly marked the successful conclusion of their internship journey through the 5th Culmination Activity, conducted across their assigned agencies. This milestone event highlighted the interns' dedication, growth, and immersion in real-world law enforcement and public safety environments.

With internships conducted in various partner institutions including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other law enforcement and government agencies, the activity served as a celebration of the knowledge and skills the students had acquired throughout their field training.

Each agency hosted a short culmination program, which included presentations, testimonials, and words of encouragement from their respective supervisors and agency officials. The event underscored the collaborative efforts between DORSU and its partner institutions in shaping future public safety professionals with integrity, discipline, and competence.

The 5th deployment of DOrSU Criminology Interns happened on March 31, 2025. On this day, Criminology Interns from Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) were officially assigned to different government and other agencies as part of their internship.

The main purpose of this deployment is to give students real-world experience in the field of Criminology and help them use what they’ve learned in school. The students were placed in police stations, jails, and other related offices.

As part of the program, the Interns are required to complete their training and submit reports about what they have learned and experienced. This internship is a way to better prepare them for their future jobs in law enforcement and other Criminology-related careers.

On March 28, 2025, the DOrSU Criminology Interns participated in their 4th culmination activity in the offices where they were assigned. This event marked an important milestone in their internship journey. During the day, the interns showcased everything they had learned and experienced while working in different offices related to Criminology. It was a chance for them to share their knowledge, skills, and insights gained over the course of their internship.

The culmination activity allowed the interns to demonstrate how they applied classroom learning in real-world situations. It also provided an opportunity for their mentors and supervisors to give feedback and recognize their hard work. Overall, the event was a success and highlighted the interns' growth and development in the Criminology field.

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | 𝟒𝐓𝐇 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓

In the 4th week of their external deployment, the Criminology interns from Batch Kislab-Diwa continued to work hard in their respective agencies. During this week, they gained more experience and learned new things in the field of Criminology.

The interns were able to apply the skills and knowledge they had learned in school to real-world situations. They observed how professionals in the field deal with cases, handle evidence, and interact with people involved in criminal investigations.

Some interns worked with the police, learning about law enforcement procedures, while others joined teams at correctional facilities, getting a closer look at the rehabilitation process. In addition, some were assigned to probation and parole agencies, where they gained a deeper understanding of how offenders are monitored after being released.

Throughout this week, the interns also faced challenges. They had to adjust to new environments and follow the rules and guidelines of their agencies. However, these challenges helped them grow professionally and personally. They continued to improve their communication skills, teamwork, and ability to handle difficult situations.

By the end of the week, the interns felt more confident in their abilities and were excited to learn even more in the coming weeks. This experience is helping them prepare for their future careers in Criminology and Law Enforcement.

𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 | "𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗟𝗬 𝗗𝗔𝗬" 𝗢𝗙 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗢

The DOrSU Criminology Interns "Lima Team", took part as honor guards during the 1st Semester CY 2025 "Barangay Assembly Day" of Barangay Matiao. The event was held at Matiao Central Elementary School on March 23, 2025.

The Lima Team showed their discipline and dedication as they performed their duties. The participation of the DORSU Criminology Interns was appreciated by the Barangay Matiao officials and the people who attended. It was a valuable experience for the interns, helping them apply their training and skills while serving the community.

The Lima Team's role as honor guards showed their commitment to public service and their readiness to take on responsibilities as future law enforcement professionals.
