Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 | Barangay Kawayanon

Empowering youth leadership through informed and active participation.

On August 21, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) conducted a symposium in Barangay Kawayanon on the role and responsibilities of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), with a focus on the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) and Comprehensive Barangay Youth Development Plan (CBYDP).

The discussion highlighted the importance of proper planning, responsible governance, and meaningful youth participation in shaping programs that respond to the needs of young people in the community.

Empowering young people through knowledge, respect, and safe spaces.

Today, August 22, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) conducted a lecture on R.A. No. 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act and Anti-Bullying, as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan celebration in Barangay Malasila.

The discussion aimed to help young people better understand their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of creating a safe and respectful community for everyone.

Building young leaders, one lesson at a time.

Today, August 22, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) conducted a Leadership Seminar in Barangay Concepcion as part of their Linggo ng Kabataan celebration.

The activity provided young people with meaningful insights on leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of serving the community with purpose.

Our sincere thanks to SK Chairperson Juliet Curayag and the entire SK Council of Barangay Concepcion for the warm invitation and for giving LYDO the opportunity to share as one of the resource speakers.

Anti-Bullying at Safe Spaces: Kabataan, Protektado!

Ngayong Agosto 19, 2026, isinagawa ng Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) ang isang symposium sa Republic Act No. 10627 o Anti-Bullying at Republic Act No. 11313 o Safe Spaces Act (Anti-Bastos Law) sa Lower Saguing Elementary School.

Layunin ng talakayan na palawakin ang kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral tungkol sa respeto, ligtas na pakikitungo, at kung paano makaiwas at makapagsumbong sa bullying at iba pang anyo ng pambabastos.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat ng LYDO kay FELIX G. CALVO JR., P-I, School Principal, at sa buong teaching force ng Lower Saguing Elementary School sa pagtitiwala at pakikipagtulungan sa tanggapan.

Sa iba pang paaralan na nais magkaroon ng ganitong symposium, bukas ang LYDO para makipag-ugnayan. Magpa-reserve lamang ng slot dahil ito ay first come, first served basis.

Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang paaralang ligtas, magalang, at mapagkalinga para sa bawat kabataan.

Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 Municipal-Wide

Isang masigla, makabuluhan, at puno ng sigla na pagdiriwang ng kabataan ang naging tampok sa Linggo ng Kabataan Municipal-Wide nitong Agosto 15, 2026.

Sa pangunguna ng Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), patuloy ang aming pakikiisa, pag-aalalay, at pag-asikaso sa mga gawain upang maging maayos, makabuluhan, at masaya ang pagdiriwang para sa lahat ng kabataan.

Malaking bahagi rin ng tagumpay ng aktibidad ang aktibong pakikilahok at suporta ng ating mga Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

Binabati at pinasasalamatan ang buong hanay ng mga SK officers, ang masisipag na SK Federation staff, at ang mga Katipunan ng Kabataan na aktibong nakilahok at kumatawan sa kani-kanilang barangay. Ang inyong oras, pagsisikap, at pakikiisa ang naging malaking bahagi ng matagumpay na pagdiriwang na ito!

Patuloy nating suportahan at pahalagahan ang kabataan. Sa bawat pagkakataong sila ay napapakinggan, nabibigyan ng halaga, at nabibigyan ng makabuluhang espasyo, mas napapalakas ang kanilang kakayahang maging aktibong katuwang sa pag-unlad ng ating pamayanan.

Magkakaiba man ang ating karanasan at pinagmulan, iisa ang ating hangarin—isang mas matatag, nagkakaisa, at empowered na kabataan.

Youth Empowered to Stand Against Bullying

DAGUPAN, MAKILALA — As part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration, young people of Barangay Dagupan gathered on August 8 for an Anti-Bullying Symposium focused on awareness, respect, and empathy.

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) of Makilala was invited as one of the resource speakers, sharing practical insights on preventing bullying and building a safer space for everyone.

The message was simple: speak up, show respect, and choose kindness.

Words matter, and using the right language helps build a more respectful and inclusive community.

Today, July 28, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) attended and assisted in the Seminar on the Use of Gender-Fair Language (Batch 2), participated in by Barangay Chairpersons, VAWC Desk Officers, LCAT-VAWC Members, GFPS Members, and the GFPS Technical Working Group (TWG).

The seminar highlighted the importance of using gender-fair language in public service to promote equality, respect, and inclusive communication. Through this shared learning, participants strengthened their commitment to creating safer and more gender-responsive communities for everyone.

Working Together for Safer Communities.

On July 27, 2026, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) spearheaded the Coordination Meeting for the 2nd Semester Oplan Bata Operation, bringing together key partner agencies, including DSWD–Makilala, the 39th Infantry Battalion, and PNP–Makilala.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and shared efforts to ensure a well-organized operation dedicated to protecting children and promoting their welfare. Through collaboration and commitment, the partner agencies continue to work hand in hand in building a safer and more caring community for every child.

Building the Way for YLS 2026

On July 27, 2026, the Local Youth Development Office, together with the 39th Infantry Battalion, conducted an ocular inspection at Saguing National High School in preparation for the upcoming Youth Leadership Summit.

More than just a site visit, the activity was part of the team’s efforts to ensure that every detail is carefully prepared for a safe, organized, and meaningful experience for the young leaders who will take part in the summit.

The LYDO sincerely thanks Earl L. Abad, School Principal of Saguing National High School, and 1LT Carl John Coronel of the 39th Infantry Battalion for their support and cooperation in making the preparations for YLS 2026 possible.

Together, we continue to prepare the way for a meaningful journey of leadership, learning, and unity.
