The Municipality of Damulog proudly marks the successful distribution of the KAAGAPAY Educational Assistance held yesterday, April 11, 2026, at the Damulog Municipal Gymnasium. A total of 955 qualified college students received financial assistance amounting to ₱2,865,000. Each student received ₱3,000, aimed at supporting their academic needs and encouraging them to pursue their educational aspirations.

This initiative underscores the local government’s steadfast commitment to empowering the youth and highlighting the vital role of education in building a brighter and more progressive community.

With deep appreciation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Municipal Mayor, Hon. Melino L. Buro, and the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Hon. Clinette P. Buro, for their unwavering support and leadership in making this program possible.

Special thanks are also given to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Ms. Janelle Xinia J. Sarsalejo, RSW, and to the KAAGAPAY Office staff led by Ms. Lillaida A. Dimacucom, LPT, for their dedication and commitment to the successful implementation of this meaningful initiative.

𝙆𝘼𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙋𝘼𝙔 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚: 𝘼 𝙔𝙀𝘼𝙍 𝙊𝙁 𝙌𝙐𝙄𝙀𝙏 𝘽𝙐𝙏 𝙄𝙈𝙋𝘼𝘾𝙏𝙁𝙐𝙇 𝙎𝙀𝙍𝙑𝙄𝘾𝙀 (January–December 2025)
Municipality of Damulog, Bukidnon

In a year filled with challenges and rising needs among families in Damulog, the KAAGAPAY Office continued to serve as a steady and compassionate lifeline for the community. Quietly but consistently, the office delivered vital social services that touched the lives of thousands of residents. From medical support to educational aid and burial assistance, KAAGAPAY remained true to its mission of uplifting families when they needed it most.

The 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Program once again proved to be one of the most relied-upon services in the municipality. Throughout the year, 641 beneficiaries received support for hospital expenses, medicines, and other health-related needs. For many households grappling with sudden illness or ongoing medical concerns, this assistance eased both emotional and financial burdens.

Education continued to be a vital pillar of KAAGAPAY’s mission. In 2025, the office was able to support 880 college students, each with their own story of determination and resilience. Coming from various backgrounds, these students drew hope and encouragement from the 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 extended by the municipality. Every grant became a meaningful step forward for young Damulog residents working toward a brighter and more promising future.

Meanwhile, the 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 Program provided compassion and dignity to families during times of grief. A total of 134 families were supported this year, ensuring that financial worries did not overshadow the solemn moments of saying goodbye to loved ones. This simple yet meaningful act of solidarity reflected the municipality’s deep understanding of community care.

All in all, the KAAGAPAY Office served 1,655 beneficiaries in 2025. While the services may not always be publicly celebrated, their impact reverberates across households, neighborhoods, and the entire community. These accomplishments stand as a testament to the office’s unwavering dedication to public service.

The KAAGAPAY Office expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Sangguniang Bayan, to Hon. Mayor Mel L. Buro for his unwavering support, and to Ms. Janelle Xinia J. Sarsalejo, MSWDO-OIC, for her guidance and leadership within the social welfare programs of the municipality. Special appreciation was also extended to the dedicated KAAGAPAY Office staff, headed by Jordan Rey Q. Clemencio, whose commitment and hard work made the year’s accomplishments possible.

In every assistance extended, one message resounds clearly: service to the people is at the heart of governance. And as the KAAGAPAY Office continues its mission, it carries forward a motto that has guided its work throughout the years “𝙒𝙀 𝙍𝙄𝙎𝙀 𝘽𝙔 𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙋𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙊𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍𝙎.”
