Gifts reveal what God can do through a person,
but fruit reveals what God has done in a person.
The gifts of the Spirit can be imparted in a moment, but the fruit of the Spirit is formed over time. Gifts and Fruits are not enemies— we need both.
But Scripture does not say, “You shall know them by their gifts,” but by their fruit.
Power may impress, but character proves authenticity.
Gifts may draw people unto Jesus, but Fruit empowers them to follow Jesus.
