DAGUPAN CITY – The Dagupan City Police Office (DCPO), under the leadership of City Director PCOL ARNOLD P SOLOMON, successfully apprehended two wanted individuals in separate law enforcement operations conducted on June 1 and 2, 2026.

The intensified campaign against wanted persons led to the back-to-back apprehension of two individuals facing charges for Acts of Lasciviousness and violations of the Social Security Act.

• First Operation (Acts of Lasciviousness): At around 6:30 PM on June 1, 2026, joint elements led by Police Station 2, together with the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) and the City Investigation and Detective Management Unit (CIDMU), served a warrant of arrest in Barangay Caranglaan, Dagupan City. This resulted in the apprehension of a 67-year-old male resident of the said barangay. The warrant, dated June 1, 2026, carried a recommended bail of Php 36,000.00.

• Second Operation (Social Security Act Violation): At approximately 11:50 AM on June 2, 2026, in Barangay Bonuan Gueset, Dagupan City. Joint operatives led by Police Station 1, alongside CIU and CIDMU, successfully apprehended a 42-year-old male resident of Barangay Poblacion West, Calasiao, Pangasinan. The offender was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated May 20, 2026, for violating Sections 9 and 10 in relation to Section 28 (E) of RA 11199 (Social Security Act of 2018), with a recommended bail amounting to Php 72,000.00.

In strict compliance with existing PNP operational guidelines and Supreme Court protocols, the arresting teams utilized Body-Worn Cameras (BWCs) and alternative recording devices throughout both operations to ensure transparency, accountability, and the protection of human rights.

The accused individuals were informed of their constitutional rights and are currently under the custody of the Dagupan CPO for documentation and proper legal disposition.

PNP STATEMENT

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through its Health Service, provides the following update on the condition of former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan.

Mr. Bonoan has been under the care of the PNP General Hospital since the evening of June 1, 2026, for medical evaluation and appropriate management.

Based on the latest assessment of the PNP Health Service, he is currently conscious, coherent, and oriented. He has no complaints of headache, dizziness, or any immediate distress at this time. He remains under close observation by the hospital’s medical team and continues to receive appropriate medical attention. Necessary diagnostic procedures are being undertaken to further guide his treatment and ensure comprehensive care.

The PNP likewise confirms that security measures and custodial protocols remain in place throughout his confinement at the hospital.

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M. FLORENDO, La Union – Law enforcement efforts to keep loose fi****ms out of communities across Region 1 yielded positive results in May 2026 as Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) reported 183 fi****ms placed under police custody, along with the arrest of 25 firearm law violators.

The results were achieved through 25 operations carried out across the region during the month. Of the total fi****ms, 22 were confiscated, seven were recovered, 132 were voluntarily surrendered, and 22 were deposited with authorities. These accomplishments reflect PRO 1’s intensified implementation of the Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. Framework and its adherence to the Focused Agenda of the Chief, PNP, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., which emphasizes proactive policing, stronger community engagement, and enhanced public safety.

PBGEN Jovencio S. Badua Jr., Acting Regional Director of PRO 1, emphasized that the results demonstrate the value of combining focused law enforcement efforts with community cooperation.

“Reducing the number of loose fi****ms in our communities lessens the opportunities for violence and criminality. These accomplishments show what can be achieved when law enforcement and the public work together toward a common goal of maintaining peace and security,” PBGEN Badua said.

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M. FLORENDO, La Union — Umabot sa PhP13.6 milyong halaga ng ilegal na droga ang nasamsam ng Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) sa unang buwan ng pagpapatupad ng Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. Program mula Mayo 1 hanggang 31, 2026.

Sa pamumuno ni PBGEN Jovencio S. Badua Jr., Acting Regional Director ng PRO 1, nakapagsagawa ang kapulisan ng 172 operasyon na nagresulta sa pagkaaresto ng 200 suspek sa buong rehiyon at pagkakasamsam ng 956.982 gramo ng shabu, 5,940.067 gramo ng tuyong dahon ng ma*****na, 24,025 piraso ng fully grown ma*****na plants, 249 gramo na kush, at 180ml na ma*****na liquid na may kabuuang halagang PhP13,679,085.64.

Bahagi rin ng tagumpay ang apat na magkakahiwalay na ma*****na eradication operations sa bulubundukin ng Ilocos Sur at Benguet mula Mayo 29 hanggang 31. Winasak at sinunog sa mga operasyong ito ang 24,020 piraso ng fully grown ma*****na plants na may tinatayang halagang PhP4,804,000.00.

Ang serye ng pagsalakay ay pinagsanib na pwersa ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at PRO 1, alinsunod sa direktiba ni CPNP PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.

Ayon kay PBGEN Badua, naging susi sa tagumpay ang masusing koordinasyon sa iba pang law enforcement units at lokal na pamahalaan.

FLORENDO, La Union – In the first month of intensified enforcement operations under the leadership of Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1), PBGEN Jovencio S. Badua Jr., a total of PhP25,887,128.00 in fines was collected following the apprehension of 60,711 violators of various local ordinances across the Ilocos Region from May 1 to 31, 2026.

The accomplishment was achieved under the Safer Cities Initiative of DILG Secretary Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. and formed part of the intensified implementation of the Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. program of PBGEN Badua aimed at strengthening public discipline, road safety, and community security across the region.

Majority of the apprehensions involved violations of municipal traffic ordinances with 52,366 cases recorded. Other violations included drinking and smoking in public places, roaming the streets without proper attire, use of karaoke systems beyond prescribed hours, obstruction during road clearing operations, and curfew violations involving minors.

Of the total number of violators, 54,281 were fined while 6,430 were either warned or released in accordance with existing local ordinances and established procedures.

PBGEN Badua emphasized that the accomplishment reflects the immediate impact of intensified police visibility and ordinance enforcement across the region within his first month as Acting Regional Director.

“The significant amount of fines collected reflects the strict and sustained enforcement of local ordinances throughout the region. More importantly, these operations are intended to instill discipline, promote accountability, and ensure the safety and security of our communities. We support of the DILG Secretary Remulla's Safer Cities Initiative,” PBGEN Badua stated.

PRO 1 assured the public that intensified police operations and ordinance enforcement activities will remain continuous in order to preserve peace and order, enhance road safety, and maintain orderly communities throughout the Ilocos Region. # # #

Framework at alinsunod sa Focused Agenda ng Chief, PNP, matagumpay na naaresto ng Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) ang kabuuang 271 wanted persons sa isinagawang manhunt operations sa buong Rehiyon Uno mula Mayo 1 hanggang 31, 2026.

Sa kabuuang bilang ng mga naaresto, lima ang kabilang sa Regional Most Wanted Persons, 14 sa Provincial Most Wanted Persons, tatlo sa City Most Wanted Persons, 32 sa Municipal Most Wanted Persons, at 217 ang iba pang wanted persons na nahaharap sa iba’t ibang kasong kriminal.

Ayon kay PBGEN Jovencio S. Badua Jr., Acting Regional Director ng PRO 1, ang tuloy-tuloy na pagkakaaresto sa mga wanted persons ay nagpapakita ng matatag na paninindigan ng kapulisan na walang puwang sa lipunan ang mga taong umiiwas sa pananagutan sa batas.

“Ang bawat wanted person na ating naaaresto ay isang hakbang tungo sa paghahatid ng hustisya at pagpapatibay ng kapayapaan sa ating mga komunidad. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating mga operasyon upang matiyak na ang bawat lumalabag sa batas ay mananagot at upang mapanatili ang tiwala ng publiko sa ating hanay,” ani PBGEN Badua.

Kabilang sa malawakang operasyon mula Mayo 1 hanggang Mayo 31, 2026 ang pagsugpo sa card games, color game, video karera, “cara y cruz,” bookies, at iba pang uri ng illegal gambling activities.

Isinagawa ang mga operasyong ito bilang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya ng PRO 1 laban sa illegal gambling na nakatuon sa agresibong law enforcement operations, pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan, at pinaigting na police visibility upang maprotektahan ang publiko laban sa mga gawaing labag sa batas.

Patuloy namang pinaiigting ng PRO 1 ang koordinasyon sa mga lokal na pamahalaan at komunidad upang mapalawak ang kampanya laban sa illegal gambling at iba pang uri ng kriminalidad sa rehiyon.

FLORENDO, La Union — Demonstrating the continuing gains of the government’s whole-of-nation approach to ending local communist armed conflict, the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO 1) facilitated the surrender and reintegration of 36 former rebels across Region 1 during the month of May 2026.

Of the total number accounted for during the period, 20 were former members of Communist Front Organizations (CFOs), 10 individuals formally withdrew their support from the New People’s Army (NPA), four were former Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members who surrendered to authorities, and two Underground Mass Organization (UGMO) members voluntarily surfaced and renounced their affiliations.

These gains reflect the objectives of the Enhanced A.L.E.R.T.O. Framework and align with the Focused Agenda of the Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., on strengthening peace and order and intensifying efforts to end local communist armed conflict, highlighting the growing trust of communities in government programs and the effectiveness of sustained peacebuilding initiatives that encourage former insurgent members and supporters to abandon armed struggle and embrace lawful and productive lives. # # #

🎓 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒:
1. Natural-born Filipino Citizen;
2. Must be 18 to 22 years old before May 1, 2027;
3. At least a Senior High School (SHS) graduate with General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or higher;
4. Single and has never been married nor pregnant (for females) nor has a legal obligation to support a child or children;
5. Minimum barefoot height of 5’2” for males and 5’0”for females;
6. Must have normal BMI corresponding to age, height, weight, and gender;
7. Physically and mentally fit to undergo rigorous training;
8. With good moral character (must not have been convicted of any criminal, administrative, or civil case);
9. No pending complaint and/or case involving moral turpitude or crimes against the state;
10. Must not be a former cadet of the PNPA or other service academies; and
11. Never been dismissed from any private employment or government position for cause.

1. PSA Birth Certificate
2. Passport-sized or 2x2 picture with name tag
3. Latest Form 137/138 with General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 85% or higher
