The Municipality of Culaba convened its 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 to discuss updates, concerns, and strategies toward stronger and more effective solid waste management implementation on September 7, 2026 at Culaba Municipal Hall, Culaba, Biliran.

𝑲𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒂 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒍𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒅:
✅Updates on Solid Waste Management Programs
✅Waste Segregation at Source and “No Segregation, No Collection” Policy
✅Monitoring, warnings, and enforcement of violations
✅Updates on MRF operations and waste diversion initiatives
✅Other environmental concerns and proposed actions

Through continued coordination and shared responsibility, we strengthen our commitment to a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Culaba.

🚨 PUBLIC REMINDER | LET’S KEEP OUR AIR CLEAN

As haze continues to affect our region due to forest fires in Indonesia, we are reminded that protecting our air quality is a shared responsibility.

🔥 PLEASE DO NOT PRACTICE OPEN BURNING OR “SIGA.”
Burning leaves, household waste, agricultural residues, and other materials releases smoke and harmful pollutants such as PM₂.₅ and PM₁₀, which can affect air quality and our health.

🌏 Smoke from forest fires can travel across borders and affect air quality in the Philippines. Let us not add more smoke to the air.

Instead, let us:
♻️ Properly dispose of waste
🌱 Practice sustainable farming
🚫 Avoid open burning
📢 Report illegal burning activities
🌳 Help keep our communities clean and green

💚 Clean air is a shared responsibility. Let’s do our part to protect our families, communities, and environment.
