Speaking on behalf of Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua during the 2nd Bangsamoro Housing and Human Settlements (BHHS) Forum, Pendatun noted that the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao’s (BARMM) investments in housing and human settlements continue to improve the living conditions of its constituents.

“Whenever I am asked about why the Bangsamoro region’s poverty incidence has reduced, I often say that there are lots of key reasons, among which is our housing programs,” Pendatun said.

We are launching a Complaint Intake Form for feedback and concerns brought to you by Bangsamoro Task Force on Special Concerns (BTF-SC) established by the Chief Minister Abdulraof "Sammy Gambar" Macacua by virtue of EO No. 003, s. 2025 to fast-track payments of BARMM suppliers and service providers.

As of August 2025, BARMM has recorded a total of over a half billion pesos paid and settled by the different BMOAs to their respective service providers and suppliers, 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟱𝟳𝟵 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 to be exact, thanks to CM Macacua's BTF-SC.

BASAHIN l Noong Biyernes, ika-4 ng Abril, kumalat sa social media ang isang video clip ni Governor Unabia kung saan gumawa siya ng mga pangkalahatang pahayag laban sa mga Muslim, na nagpapahiwatig na magdudulot sila ng problema sa Misamis Oriental kung sila ay magiging bahagi ng lokal na pamahalaan nito. Umani ang naturang pahayag ng maraming kritisismo online at mula sa iba't-ibang sektor, na nagsasabing ito ay diskriminasyon at nakasisira sa mga pagsisikap kaakibat ng pagsusulong ng kapayapaan at inklusibidad sa rehiyon.

BARMM Spokesperson Mohd Asnin K. Pendatun, in a statement shared with media outlets, described Unabia’s remarks as “uncalled for” and stressed the importance of fostering mutual respect among communities of different backgrounds and faiths.

“The statement made by Misamis Oriental Gov. Peter ‘Sr. Pedro’ Unabia is uncalled for and reflects the need to engage in a deeper mutual understanding and cultural sensitivity dialogue,” Pendatun said.
