𝐂𝐒𝐄𝐀–𝐌𝐏 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐭

Last Thursday, May 21, 2026, the Cooperatives and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA-BARMM), through its Cooperative Development Division, conducted a Capacity Building Program for Cooperative Officers in partnership with the Office of Member of Parliament Hon. Faizal G. Karon under its FY 2026 Transition Development Impact Fund (TDIF).

The activity forms part of the technical assistance mandate of CSEA-BARMM in strengthening cooperatives across the region, particularly in enhancing institutional capacity development, cooperative governance systems, and organizational sustainability.

The training focused on the Fundamentals of Cooperatives, the Cooperative Difference, and the Salient Provisions of Cooperative Law, including discussions on the Articles of Cooperation, as well as the core principles of Cooperative Management and Governance. These topics were designed to strengthen the participants’ understanding of the legal, structural, and operational foundations essential to effective cooperative operations.

This initiative underscores the shared commitment of CSEA-BARMM and MP Faizal G. Karon, through the TDIF, to promoting capacity-building interventions, strengthening cooperative institutions, and advancing sustainable community-based enterprises, contributing to inclusive and resilient socio-economic development in the region.

𝐂𝐒𝐄𝐀-𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐄-𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒

The Cooperatives and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA) – BARMM, through the Social Enterprise Division, successfully implemented the Social Enterprise Capacity Building Training for SE-SAVE beneficiaries conducted in two batches across different venues. The Maguindanao, Special Geographic Area (SGA), and Island Provinces cluster was successfully completed last May 18–20, 2026 at El Comedor, Cotabato City, while the Lanao cluster is currently ongoing from May 21–23, 2026 at Curly Frost, Heaven Road, Marawi City.

The activity engaged a diverse group of beneficiaries from Maguindanao, SGA, and the Island Provinces, as well as Lanao, composed of cooperatives, sole proprietors, MSMEs, and associations. This initiative underscores the Authority’s continued commitment to strengthening social enterprises through inclusive capacity development interventions across the region.

The participants form part of the total 70 beneficiary groups identified across the BARMM region under the SE-SAVE Program, which aims to enhance enterprise viability and promote sustainable socio-economic development in local communities.

The training focused on strengthening participants’ competencies in social enterprise development, including enterprise planning, organizational strengthening, and the formulation of strategic vision, mission, and goals toward fostering sustainable and transformative community impact.

The Bangsamoro Treasury Office successfully convened the Annual Bangsamoro Local Revenue Collection Forum today, May 21, 2026, at the Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex. The forum gathered ministries, offices, and agencies of the Bangsamoro Government to strengthen collaboration in sustaining the region’s fiscal growth and transparency.

The Bangsamoro Government recognized the collective efforts of all participating MOAs, commending their vital roles in helping the regional government strengthen its fiscal foundation.

During the event, the Cooperatives and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA) was honored as Top Three (3), by no less than Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua for its consistent dedication and commitment to supporting the regional government in revenue collection through cooperatives and social enterprises.

This recognition reaffirms the vital role of CSEA in empowering communities, fostering inclusive growth, and ensuring that the Bangsamoro government continues to build a sustainable and self-reliant economy.

The forum stands as a testament to the shared vision of transparency, accountability, and collaboration in advancing the Bangsamoro region’s financial resilience and development.

“𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬: 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐌𝐌”

On April 6–8, 2026, a three-day activity was held in Davao City with the theme “Harmonizing Capacity Support for Smallholder Farmers and Cooperatives in BARMM: Designing Practical Support Pathways from Organizational Readiness to Market Transformation.”

Senior staff from the Cooperative and Social Enterprise Authority (CSEA-BARMM) joined as resource persons, sharing their knowledge and experience with participants. The activity focused on helping smallholder farmers and cooperatives strengthen their organizations, prepare for bigger opportunities, and connect to markets in ways that are practical and sustainable.

The sessions emphasized teamwork, building stronger foundations for cooperatives, and creating clear steps that can lead farmers from readiness to real market transformation. By working together, the goal is to make sure farmers and cooperatives in BARMM are better supported, more resilient, and able to thrive in changing market conditions.

The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), as the lead Secretariat of the BFSTF, spearheaded this important event in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme (UN WFP).
