Mayor Florenz Mejia Zuniega Ako ang inyong kapatid, kapuso at kapamilya. Hangarin ko na ipagpatuloy ang tatak Zuniega sa tapat at maaasahang paglilingkod bilang tunay na anak ng Cordon.

Si Florenz ay mula sa pamilyang unang nakilala dahil sa tunay at tapat na paglilingkod sa Cordon sa pamamagitan ng kanilang ama na si Ginoong Laurencio Zuniega, isa sa mga mahuhusay na naging Ama ng Bayan ng Cordon, at ng kanyang inang si Ginang Julie Zuniega. Ang kanyang kapatid ay ang kasalukuyang butihing Mayor na si Lynn Zuniega. Siya ay kasalukuyang lingkod ng Cordon bilang Sangguniang Bayan

na naluklok bilang #1 SB mula taong 2022 hanggang 2025. Sa pagkumbinse ng kanyang mga kababayang Cordonians, sya ay kumakandidato bilang Mayor ng Cordon na may hangaring ipagpatuloy ang tatak Zuniega sa paglilingkod - tunay at tapat, para sa kanyang minamahal na bayan at mga kababayang Cordonians.

EMPOWERING OUR BARANGAYS FOR A DRUG-FREE CORDON!

The Local Government Unit of Cordon, in close partnership with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), successfully conducted a 2-Day Community-Based Anti-Illegal Drug Advocacy Training of Trainers last May 19–20, 2026, held at the MO Conference Hall, Municipal Building.

This critical seminar brought together key community leaders, sectors, and stakeholders dedicated to intensifying our local anti-illegal drug campaign:

Strengthening the Backbone of Our Nation: Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk

The Local Government Unit of Cordon, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, successfully conducted the Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk Program at the Cordon Community Center last May 7, 2026.

It was a day filled with hope and productivity as our local food heroes gathered to receive support designed to boost their livelihoods. From organized registration lines to the actual distribution of assistance, the spirit of community was truly felt.

We are proud to witness the smiles and the renewed motivation of our farmers and fisherfolk as they continue to provide for our tables and grow our local economy.

EMERGENCY CASH TRANSFER PAYOUT FOR CORN FARMERS

The Provincial Government of Isabela, in collaboration with DSWD Region 02 and the Local Government Unit of Cordon, successfully conducted the Emergency Cash Transfer (ECT) Payout at the Cordon Community Center yesterday, May 4, 2026.

A total of 1,430 corn farmers from our municipality received ₱10,125.00 each in financial assistance. This initiative aims to provide much-needed relief to our hardworking corn farmers who have been severely affected by the agricultural disaster caused by the recent drought.

The distribution was spearheaded by Vice Governor Faustino "Kiko" Dy III, together with our dedicated Local Officials, ensuring that the aid reached our constituents efficiently.

The LGU Cordon remains committed to supporting our agricultural sector as we navigate these challenging times together.

The Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), in coordination with the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and the Local Government Unit of Cordon, recently facilitated the distribution of indemnity cheques to our hardworking corn farmers.

This initiative aims to provide financial recovery and serve as vital capital for the upcoming cropping season, helping our agricultural community bounce back from climate risks and unforeseen challenges.

Para sa Ikabubuti ng mga Cordonian: Pagpupulong ng Local Advisory Council (LAC)

Ginanap ngayong araw, Abril 16, 2026, ang mahalagang pagtitipon ng ating Local Advisory Council (LAC) para sa 4Ps sa Mayor’s Office Conference Hall.

Layunin ng pagpupulong na ito na mas pagtibayin ang implementasyon ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program sa ating bayan. Tinalakay ang mga bagong hakbang at koordinasyon upang matiyak na ang bawat tulong at serbisyo ay nakakarating nang maayos at mabilis sa ating mga kababayan.

"Para sa ikabubuti ng mga Cordonian." Ito ang ating gabay at inspirasyon sa bawat proyektong ating isinusulong. Naniniwala tayo na sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng lokal na pamahalaan at ng komunidad, mas mapapabuti natin ang antas ng pamumuhay ng bawat pamilyang Cordonian.

Fuel Subsidy pasa sa mga kababayan nating Tricycle Drivers!

Isang malaking tulong at puno ng pasasalamat ang ating nararamdaman ngayong araw! Matagumpay na naipamahagi ang Fuel Subsidy Cash Assistance mula sa DSWD Region 2 para sa ating mga masisipag na miyembro ng FETODACOR dito sa Munisipalidad ng Cordon, Isabela.

Sa gitna ng patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng langis, isang malaking ginhawa ang hatid ng 5,000 Pesos na ayuda para sa bawat isa. Alam nating hindi biro ang sakripisyo ng ating mga kapatid sa public utility service industry, kaya naman ang programang ito ay sadyang nakalaan para suportahan ang inyong pangkabuhayan.

Narito ang ilang detalye ng ating masayang kaganapan:

Halaga ng naipamahagi: 5,000 Pesos bawat miyembro
