Strengthening coordination for the effective implementation of JobStart Philippines Program 2026 🤝✨

In preparation for JSP 2026, a coordination meeting among JSP trainers was successfully conducted to align plans, strategies, and program implementation. The activity focused on key guidelines, training approaches, and timelines to ensure smooth program delivery.

Through strengthened collaboration, JSP trainers remains committed to delivering quality training and empowering young job seekers toward a more prepared and employable workforce.

Strengthening partnerships towards inclusive and sustainable youth employment 🤝✨

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in collaboration with PGIS-PESO, successfully conducted an Employers’ Forum for the JobStart Philippines Program (JSP) last April 8, 2026, attended by representatives from various private establishments and tourism sectors operating within the Province of Ilocos Sur.

The activity served as a platform to strengthen public and private collaboration, align industry workforce needs, and expand employment opportunities for the youth. Through this initiative, JSP strengthens its efforts in preparing young job seekers and promoting a more inclusive and progressive workforce environment. 👩‍💼👨‍💼🏢

It marks the deployment of 3 students from Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) for their On-the-Job Training (OJT).

Prior to deployment to the different PGIS offices, the students were given an orientation and briefing by Ms. Charlene B. Andres the Work Immersion and OJT Focal Person of PESO and Ms. Abigail Acas from the PHRM Office.

These students will join as additional workforce of the provincial government to complete their required hours for training. They will also gain hands-on experience, develop workplace skills, and learn the value of professionalism and public service.

We wish our students a meaningful and productive immersion as they take this important step in preparing for their future careers. 🌱✨

Empowering the youth through opportunity and public service. ✨

The orientation for the 65 beneficiaries of the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and the Short-Term Employment Program for Students (STEPS) formally commenced on May 18, 2026. Consist of 33 SPES beneficiaries and 32 STEPS beneficiaries.

The activity covered comprehensive discussions on program guidelines, PGIS rules and regulations, and PESO policies, equipping the students with the necessary knowledge and preparation for their employment journey.

Additionally, on May 20, 2026, the SPES and STEPS beneficiaries, paid a courtesy call to Governor Jeremias “Jerry” C. Singson, signifying the beginning of a meaningful engagement in leadership, responsibility, and public service.
