๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ โ The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Vigan City gathered its education partners and stakeholders during the Local Stakeholdersโ Convergence 2026 on June 16, 2026, reaffirming its commitment to collaborative governance and shared responsibility in delivering quality basic education.
The activity brought together representatives from local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs), non-government organizations (NGOs), parents, civic organizations, private sector partners, and other education advocates who have continuously supported the programs, projects, and activities of the Department of Education.
In her message, Schools Division Superintendent Vilma D. Eda, CESO V, emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships and recognizing the invaluable contributions of stakeholders in achieving the divisionโs educational goals.
"Today, we are conducting this Stakeholdersโ Forum to strengthen our partnerships, and I believe this will also serve as a way of reporting to our general stakeholders what we have accomplished so far in the Schools Division Office of Vigan City," SDS Eda said.
The convergence also served as a platform for the division to present its accomplishments, best practices, and key milestones, highlighting the collective efforts of schools, communities, and partner institutions in improving learner outcomes and promoting quality, accessible, and inclusive education.
Among the distinguished guests were Hon. Art Constantine Oandasan, representing Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias โJerryโ Singson, and Hon. Jay Andia, Chairperson of the Committee on Education of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Vigan, who represented Vigan City Mayor Randolf โRandyโ Singson. Their presence underscored the strong support of both the provincial and city governments for the education sector and its continuing development initiatives.
Resource persons Hon. Janina Carine Medina-Fariรฑas, who shared insights on "Leading Through Collaboration: Building Strategic Partnerships for Quality Education and Community Development," and Hon. Ignacio Tadeo, who spoke on Championing Education Through Local Governance: The Role of Leaders in Shaping the Future," enriched the forum with valuable perspectives on strengthening partnerships and fostering community involvement in education.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment among stakeholders to continue working hand in hand with DepEd Vigan City in addressing educational challenges and creating more opportunities for learners to thrive.
