The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officially announces the opening of the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for the upcoming student elections.

No person shall be eligible for any elective public office unless they file a sworn Certificate of Candidacy within the prescribed period. All interested candidates are advised to review the requirements below to ensure a smooth filing process.

📋 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗢𝗖

Your sworn Certificate of Candidacy must state that you are formally announcing your candidacy and that you are eligible for the office you seek. The COC must include the following details:

• Full name, civil status, and date of birth
• Place of residence
• Year level
• Contact number and e-mail address
• Hobbies and strengths
• Political party affiliation
• Social media accounts
• A declaration to support and defend the UCSM Constitution and maintain true faith and allegiance to it
• A declaration that the oath is taken voluntarily, without mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that all statements made are true and correct to the best of your knowledge

📂 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

Candidates must submit the following documents together with their COC:

• Certification from the Dean pursuant to Article IV Sections 1 to 9
• 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘀: Two 2x2 ID photos (B&W or color) with a white background.
• 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲: List of all authentic social media accounts for the candidate and their political party.
• 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿: Issued by the Students’ Affairs Office.

📍 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀:

Students currently holding any office or position in the UCSM Council of Medicine (CoM) must resign from their position prior to filing their Certificate of Candidacy. A signed and approved letter of resignation must be submitted together with the COC.

📌 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲

Candidates may request the blank Certificate of Candidacy (COC) Form and Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Dean’s Office

⏳ 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀

All required documents must be submitted within the designated filing period.

If certain documentary requirements cannot be submitted on the deadline, candidates are given until the second day of the following week to comply.
