A Safer and More Vibrant Minglanilla: February 2026 Accomplishments
This February, the Minglanilla Municipal Police Station, under the dedicated leadership of ATTY. PLTCOL MARIA THERESA T. MACATANGAY, Acting Chief of Police, and with the support of Hon. Lheslen Enad, Acting Mayor, intensified efforts to keep the community safe, orderly, and vibrant. Every operation carried out this month reflects a strong commitment to public safety and the well-being of all residents.
Throughout February, our personnel conducted 9 anti-illegal drug operations, successfully seizing 6.96 grams of shabu valued at โฑ47,644.00 and arresting 17 individuals. These actions delivered a decisive blow against illegal drugs, protecting families and fostering a secure environment in every corner of Minglanilla.
In parallel, 4 operations targeting loose fi****ms led to the surrender or confiscation of 4 guns, with 4 arrests and 4 cases filed, keeping dangerous weapons off the streets and ensuring public safety.
Our dedicated teams also tracked down and apprehended a 1 most-wanted individual listed as Top 4 at the regional level, Top 3 at the provincial level, and Top 1 at the municipal level as well as five other wanted persons, holding lawbreakers accountable and strengthening trust between the police and the community.
Maintaining discipline remained a top priority as well. 51 individuals were apprehended for local ordinance violations, generating fines totaling โฑ25,500.00 and reinforcing respect for rules that help the community thrive. Additionally, 1 illegal gambling operation led to the arrest of 1 person, with โฑ40.00 confiscated and 1 case filed, signaling that unlawful activities will not be tolerated.
These accomplishments highlight the Minglanilla MPSโs dedication to proactive policing, collaboration with the community, and commitment to peace and order. Through these efforts, the police continue to protect residents, uphold the law, and foster a stronger connection with the people they serveโbuilding a truly vibrant Minglanilla for everyone.
