This month, as you celebrate another year of life, may you continue to find the strength to confront these opposites. Strike a balance, explore the self, and face the unease of tension.

Last Saturday, June 20, select members from the University of the Philippines Psychology Majors Association (UPPsyMA) attended the Cebu block screening for Toy Story 5 organized by Globe Telecom.

UPPsyMA ExeComm holds turnover meeting for school year 2026-2027

Following a successful election season, the University of the Philippines Psychology Major Association (UPPsyMA) held a turnover meeting to officially welcome the upcoming school year’s executive committee on Friday, May 29.

The meeting served as a formal transition between the outgoing and incoming officers, providing an opportunity to discuss the organization’s structure, ensuring continuity in the organization’s operations and commitment to serving UP Cebu’s Psychology body and the broader community.

Newly elected UPPsyMA Chairperson Josh Dizon outlined the organization's priorities for the coming academic year. “(We) aim to strengthen what we have established, build stronger partnerships, and offer avenues for holistic growth for the student body.”

This month, we honor not only your special day but also the legacy of Lightner Witmer, the pioneer who believed in understanding people beyond what is seen and helping them reach their fullest potential.

The Student Electoral Board formally presents the newly elected members of the UPPsyMA Executive Committee for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The Student Electoral Board extends its gratitude to everyone who participated throughout the election process.

Congratulations to the newly elected Executive Committee. May your term be guided by genuine service, integrity, accountability, and commitment to the student body and the broader community.

Please also be guided accordingly regarding the following notes:

• Jowelyn Ecaonapo was proclaimed elected for both the positions of Internal Secretary and Second-Year Block Representative. Following coordination with the Student Electoral Board, she has decided to proceed with the position of Second-Year Block Representative.

• Marie Jhabrielle Mondares garnered the most number of votes for both the positions of External Secretary and External Vice Chairperson. Following coordination with the Student Electoral Board, she has decided to proceed with the position of External Vice Chairperson. Consequently, the position of External Secretary shall be assumed by the remaining candidate for the position.

With this, a special election for the position of Internal Secretary shall be conducted. Further announcements regarding the special election shall be released following the turnover ceremony.

Congratulations once again to the new UPPsyMA Executive Committee for A.Y. 2026–2027.

To always alleviate the human condition and towards making psychology serve the masses.

𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐌𝐀 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐭!🔱

𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟲:𝟯𝟱 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, all members of University of the Philippines Psychology Majors’ Association (UPPsyMA) have casted their votes for the next set of Executive Committee Members for the following academic year, accomplishing a 100% voter turnout.

Notably, this was reached ahead of schedule--with one full day still remaining before the closing of forms.

Following this, the forms will now officially be closed, and the counting of votes will be done by the Student Electoral Board.

Thank you to everyone who participated and exercised their right to vote. Keep posted for the next set of officers to be posted on the 25th of May!

𝘈 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦!

𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟵:𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, members of University of the Philippines Psychology Majors’ Association (UPPsyMA) have casted their votes for the next set of Executive Committee Members for the following academic year. Following with 70.37% of turnout yesterday, the votes have increased to 86.11% of the body.

All the 𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 have casted their votes, making them the first block to accomplish 100% turnout. This is is followed by the 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧 with 92.86% of votes casted, then followed by the 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 with 84.62% votes casted, and lastly, 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 with 66.67% of votes casted.

Once again, we encourage everyone to continue exercising their right to vote and help shape the future of the organization! 🗳️

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁!

𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, members of University of the Philippines Psychology Majors' Association (UPPsyMA) have casted their votes for the next set of Executive Committee Members for the following academic year. More than half of the members have already participated on the first day, with overall turnout of 70.37% of the body.

The 𝐣𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 take the lead with an overwhelming 96.3% of votes casted, a large gap with the 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧, coming in second with 75% of votes casted, followed closely by the 𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 with 73.08% of votes casted, and lastly, the 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 with 37.04% of their votes casted.

We encourage everyone to continue exercising their right to vote and help shape the future of the organization! 🗳️
