On 31 May 2026, the CTU-Main ROTC Unit was honored to render the Entrance and Exit of Colors during the Induction Ceremony for New Members 2026 of the Cebu Unified Eagles Club (CUEC) under the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) at Paradise Garden Events Pavilion H, Abellana Street, Jagobiao, Mandaue City.

The ceremony marked the formal induction of new members into the organization, signifying their commitment to uphold the ideals, principles, and mission of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. It served as an important milestone that strengthened unity within the organization while welcoming individuals dedicated to civic responsibility and community development.

As new members officially joined the fraternity, the occasion reflected the organization's continuing dedication to fostering responsible leadership, volunteerism, and active participation in meaningful community initiatives. The program also highlighted the enduring spirit of fellowship that has long defined the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Fear is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of being human. What makes a courageous person different is not that they feel no fear, but that they choose to act even when they do. Nelson Mandela spent 27 years in prison and still came out ready to lead and serve his people. He knew that courage is not a feeling. It is a decision made over and over again, even in the hardest moments.

For every cadet, fear is real and present. There is fear of failure, fear of the unknown, and fear of not being enough when it matters most. But ROTC exists to train individuals to rise above all of that. Every drill completed, every task taken on, and every hard moment pushed through is practice in choosing action over hesitation. Courage grows stronger every time a cadet decides to keep going.

Fear will always be part of the journey, in ROTC and in everyday life. The question is never whether we feel it. The question is what we do when we do. True leaders are not people who are free from doubt. They are people who push forward even when doubt is loudest. Every cadet who chooses to face a hard moment instead of running from it is already building the kind of character that others will one day look up to and follow.

Let this be a reminder in every trial you face. Fear that is faced and overcome is where true strength is built. Every time you push past what is hard and uncomfortable, you grow stronger, more ready, and more capable of leading others. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the choice to be greater than your fear.

On 20–22 May 2026, the CTU Main ROTC Unit proudly rendered support during the PAEPI Central Visayas Chapter: International Extension Symposium and Technology Forum (IESTF) held at the Cebutech Gymnasium, Cebu Technological University Main Campus, with the theme β€œTransforming Communities through University-Led Extension for Sustainable Development.”

The Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementors, Inc. (PAEPI), established in 1989, continues to serve as a platform for extension professionals to share knowledge, research, and best practices that contribute to community development and people empowerment. The three-day symposium brought together researchers, educators, and plenary speakers from different universities, including international institutions, to discuss innovative ideas and sustainable initiatives that can positively impact communities.

Throughout the activity, the CTU Main ROTC Unit Officers were assigned to maintain crowd control and ensure the smooth flow of the event. During the opening ceremony, the unit formally conducted the Entry of Colors, while the Exit of Colors was rendered during the closing program with discipline and precision. The officers remained on duty throughout the symposium to help maintain order, safety, and organization within the venue.

The successful conduct of the event reflected the importance of collaboration, research, and community-centered service in achieving sustainable development goals. Through dedication and teamwork, the CTU Main ROTC Unit once again demonstrated the values of leadership, responsibility, discipline, and service to the academic community.
