Cebu City Government conducts B.O.S.S - S.P.R.I.N.G Management Committee Presentation on May 29, 2026 at the 8th Floor Conference Room.

This culminating activity was participated by the representatives from departments and offices comprising the Business One Stop Shop (B.O.S.S.) tasked to issue permanent and/or temporary business permits. The employees who prepared the Implementation Plans of their respective Special Improvement Projects presented their case studies to the Management Committee Members composed of PESO Manager and Acting DMDP Dept. Head, Dr. Anthony V. Aguhar, Acting MICS Dept. Head,
Ms. Mary Jane C. Caballero and DVMF Administrative Officer, Ms. Rosalima A. Cimagala with former VECO President, Mr. Raul C. Lucero and Cebu Chamber of Commerce representative, Mr. Francis Dy.

The said event was also graced by the City Mayor, Hon. Nestor D. Archival, City Vice Mayor Hon. Tomas R. Osmeña and Councilor Harold Kendrick Go.

The Services and Programs Rationalization and Improvement iN Government (S.P.R.I.N.G) is spearheaded by Project Manager and Executive Assistant to the City Mayor, Mr. Rene B. Sanapo in coordination with the Human Resource Development - Learning and Development Section.

𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗚𝗡𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗚𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘

The Cebu City Government earned recognition as one of the top-performing government agencies in the country during the Annual GSIS Re-orientation Seminar for Agency Authorized Officers (AAOs) and ERF Handlers held on May 26 at One Central Hotel in Cebu City.

Cebu City was named among the Top 6 government agencies with the highest collection efficiency in compulsory GSIS premium remittances from 2007 to 2025, reflecting the city government’s consistent compliance and commitment to fulfilling its obligations to government
employees.

The recognition highlighted the importance of timely premium remittances in ensuring that public servants continue to access GSIS benefits, including loans, insurance programs, and other social security services.

The seminar gathered representatives from various local government units, municipalities, and national government agencies, where updates on GSIS policies, membership services, employee benefits, and remittance procedures were discussed to further improve government service delivery.

It also served as a platform to strengthen coordination with GSIS and reinforce accountability in the handling of employee contributions and government transactions.

Through the recognition, the Cebu City Government reaffirmed its commitment to responsible public service and employee welfare by maintaining efficient and reliable GSIS remittance practices over the years.

Cebu City Government conducts its Moral Recovery Program (MRP) Departmental Bible Study Fellowship (DBSF) held at the different departments on May 28, 2026.

This week's attendance reached 353 employees as 16 departments and offices participated in the said program conducted in adherence to the Proclamation No. 62, s. 1992 and Executive Order No. 319, 2. 1996. It was made possible through the issuance of HR Memo No. 2026-024 approved by City Mayor Hon. Nestor D. Archival implemented by HRDO in coordination with the department/office heads, administrative officers and the volunteer Life Coaches from various Christian denominations, with the aim of inculcating the Public Service Values of patriotism, integrity, excellence and spirituality through Scriptural study.
