Strengthening Teaching, Empowering Learners!

Pasong Langka Elementary School successfully conducted its School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on Professional Development on Strategies for Promoting Literacy and Numeracy on September 10–11, 2026.

Through meaningful discussions, sharing of best practices, and evidence-based strategies, our teachers deepened their knowledge and skills in addressing learner gaps and improving literacy and numeracy outcomes.

Together, we continue to learn, grow, and inspire every learner to succeed!

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 10

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Magpapatuloy ang pag-aaral sa pamamagitan ng modules, online, o blended learning ayon sa abiso ng paaralan.

At mga anak, huwag kakalimutang tumulong sa gawaing bahay!

Patuloy na maging alerto sa lagay ng panahon. Iwasan ang pagpunta sa mga lugar na maaaring bahain at manatili sa ligtas na lugar kung kinakailangan.

Despite the suspension of face-to-face classes on September 4, 2026, learning continues at Pasong Langka Elementary School (PLES) through our Flexible Learning Program.

Our dedicated teachers continue to provide learning activities and guidance to ensure that our learners remain engaged and learning even beyond the classroom.

JUST IN: The Palace announced the implementation of alternative learning modes in NCR and 15 provinces for Friday, September 4, 2026, due to the continued impact of the typhoon and haze from the fires in Indonesia.

ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Samahan ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ngayong Setyembre 3 para sa National Simultaneous School Safety Drill. 🏫🛡️

Kasabay nito ang pinaigting na safeguards para sa pisikal at mental na kaligtasan ng mga mag-aaral, na binuo katuwang ang mga kinauukulang ahensya at mental health professionals upang matiyak na trauma-informed at age-appropriate ang pagpapatupad ng drill.

Sama-sama para sa mas ligtas at mas handang mga paaralan.
