Below is the message of FSSUPT RANDY M MENDAROS, DSC, ARD for Administration of BFP Region 8, regarding the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children

"I fully support the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children. I do not tolerate any form of abuse against them.

As firefighters, our duty to protect lives goes beyond responding to fires and other disasters – it includes standing against any form of abuse that harms the safety and dignity of women and children.

Let us extinguish the root causes of violence to preserve dignity and secure a future where every woman and child can live free from fear, free from harm, and free to thrive.

I believe that ending VAWC starts with awareness, but it must continue through action. We must speak up, support victims, intervene, and help build communities where respect, equality, and protection are upheld.

I commit to being an advocate for a VAW-free Philippines, because true safety means ensuring that every woman and every child can live without fear."
