The Bureau of Fire Protection Samar under the leadership of FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, attended the Special Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Meeting on October 22, 2026 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Capitol Building, Catbalogan City Samar.

The Special Provincial DRRM Council Meeting was presided over by Vice-Governor Arnold V. Tan. Meeting discussions focused on Super Typhoon “Rosal” updates and presentation of the Proposed 2026 Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Supplemental Plan. This initiative demonstrates BFP SAMAR’S dedication to protecting lives and property through close collaboration with local and national government agencies.

21 October 2026. The Bureau of Fire Protection Samar under the leadership of FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, attended the coordination meeting in preparation for the upcoming Manaragat Marathon 2026. The meeting was also attended by the Municipal Fire Marshals/representatives of Catbalogan City Fire Station, Jiabong Fire Station, Motiong Fire Station, Paranas Fire Station, Philippine National Police, KABALIKAT, REACT HAMORAWON, Catbalogan Society Runners, Philippine Red Cross-Western Samar Chapter, LGU Motiong, Motiong ERT and Jiabong MDRRMO.

The meeting focused on operational planning, safety measures and inter-agency coordination to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the activity. This initiative highlights the BFP SAMAR’S commitment to promoting health and wellness while strengthening community partnership and public safety through sports engagement.

The Bureau of Fire Protection Samar under the leadership of FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, attended the 78th Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Motiong on October 15, 2026 with the theme: Nagkakaurusa, nagbuburubligay, nagpapadayon para han mas maupay nga kabubuwason."

During the celebration, FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal of BFP SAMAR, conveyed her message of support, highlighting the significance of unity, cooperation and perseverance in advancing collective efforts toward building a safer, more resilient, and progressive community.

The visit marked her transition to her new assignment, where she will continue to contribute to the mission of the Bureau of Fire Protection through dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public service.

𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐅𝐅 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Samar, under the leadership of FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, conducted a Staff Meeting on October 14, 2026, at the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal, Catbalogan City, to discuss important matters concerning personnel welfare, operational readiness, and the implementation of programs and directives.

The meeting covered several key agenda items, including health and dental profiling, the activation of Oplan Kaluluwa 2026, the conduct of the OPFM Team Development and Morale Enhancement Seminar, and preparations for the Recognition Day in December 2026. Updates on the ongoing construction of fire stations across the province were also discussed, along with reports and updates from the different sections of OPFM Samar.

Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the importance of ensuring compliance with directives and memoranda issued by the Regional Office to maintain efficient operations and the timely implementation of organizational policies and programs.

Through regular staff meetings, BFP Samar continues to strengthen coordination, address operational concerns, monitor ongoing projects, and ensure that personnel remain informed and aligned with the Bureau's goals and priorities.

𝐁𝐅𝐏 𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐑'𝘀 𝐆𝐎 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄

As part of the environmental sustainability efforts of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Samar, under the leadership of FSUPT MARITES R LIMBAUAN, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, initiated the Go Green Initiative – Station Tree Planting to promote environmental awareness and greener surroundings across all fire stations in the province.

Through this initiative, BFP Samar fire stations planted a total of 45 trees, consisting of 22 Malunggay trees, 22 Guyabano trees and 1 Avocado Tree within their respective station premises. This effort encourages personnel to take an active role in caring for the environment while ensuring that station operations and emergency response activities remain unhindered.

The initiative reflects BFP Samar’s commitment to environmental responsibility and to creating greener, healthier communities through simple yet meaningful actions.

Fire response vehicles come in different types and capacities, each designed to serve specific operational needs.

🚒 BFP Fire Trucks are procured and operated by the Bureau of Fire Protection, with varying capacities and capabilities depending on operational requirements.

🛺 LGU Fire Trikes, on the other hand, are initiatives of Local Government Units intended to augment and support BFP firefighters, particularly in communities where access and mobility may be challenging.
