GUGMA MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION REACHES BRGY. AGSILAB, SAPIAN

The Provincial Government of Capiz, led by Governor Fredenil H. Castro and the Provincial Health Unit under Dr. Alex Nolasco, successfully brought the Gugma Medical and Dental Mission to four barangays in Sapian โ€” Agtatacay Sur, Agtatacay Norte, Lonoy, and host barangay Agsilab on February 25, 2026.

Residents received free medical check-ups, laboratory tests, medicines, HIV and TB counseling, family planning services, and oral health kits for pregnant women in celebration of Oral Health Month.

Sapian Mayor Jose Oรฑas Villanueva expressed full support for the initiative and reaffirmed the municipalityโ€™s commitment to prioritizing the health of every Sapianon.

The Municipality of Sapian strengthens its commitment to digital transformation and financial inclusion through the successful launching of Paleng-QR Ph Plus.

Under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Jose Oรฑas Villanueva, the Local Government Unit of Sapian (LGU Sapian) officially implemented the Paleng-QR Ph Plus, a flagship initiative of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) that promotes safe, efficient, and cashless transactions in public markets.

Through the guidance and partnership of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, together with the DICT, DILG, and participating Financial Service Providers, the Municipality continues to modernize its services, empower local vendors, and ensure more accessible and secure financial solutions for every Sapiannon.
