Congratulates Dr. Den Mark G. Orquia and team for garnering 3rd Place in Best SMART-TECH INNOVATION with their research innovation on Integrated Forensic Examination Table (DSA3-01), during the 1st SMART-TECH Expo for Criminology Innovations held at Northern Iloilo State University last May 7-8, 2026.

The innovation is an integration of forensic devices creating a forensic table comprising different technical features that can be used in forensic photography, fingerprint development and identification and questioned document examination capable of doing other forensic usage in one setting.

We are proud to share the successful completion of our Training-Workshop on Intellectual Property (IP) Basics, Patent Search, and Patent Document Citation for CAPSU DAYAO students!

The workshop provided hands-on experience that empowered students to strengthen their research skills, uphold academic integrity, and explore innovation with confidence.

A heartfelt thanks to our resource speakers- Prof. Princess Lydia S. Fuentes, Engr. Zandro A. Amanguiton & Mr. Abner F. Orofeo, facilitators and enthusiastic participants from the Capsu Dayao Fisheries Program, Teacher Education, CAPSU Dayao Food Technology Program, Computer Education, and Criminal Justice Department, who made this event meaningful and impactful!

We are pleased to share the success of our recent seminar on Intellectual Property (IP) and Research Ethics, attended by engaged and enthusiastic faculty members of CAPSU Dayao.

The program opened with an inspiring welcome address by Dr. Nilo D. Delfin - Satellite College Director, setting the tone for a meaningful and insightful learning experience.

Our esteemed resource speakers delivered valuable discussions:
1. French Dampog, IPMO Director– Intellectual Property and the Academe
2. Princess Lydia Fuentes, ITSD Chief– Understanding the IP System
3. Dr. Caressa Lyn Siglos, UREB Chair– Research Ethics

Each session highlighted the importance of protecting intellectual work, navigating the IP system, and upholding ethical standards in research which are essential pillars in advancing academic excellence and innovation.

CAPSU DAYAO IPMO earns Gold Award at RDE Pasidungog 2025!

Congratulations to the Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) for proudly receiving the Gold Award during the Capiz State University Research Development and Extension (RDE) Pasidungog 2025 Clustering Award yesterday, January 23, 2026 at Robinsons Place Roxas!

In behalf of the Satellite College Director, Dr. Nilo Delfin, the award was received by Prof. Princess Lydia Fuentes- IPMO Chairperson & Dr. Grazl Baria- Planning Chairperson.

CAPSU Dayao also received a special citation for the technology commercialized for the year 2025.

This outstanding recognition reflects CAPSU Dayao unwavering commitment to promoting innovation, protecting intellectual assets, and strengthening a culture of research and creativity within the institution.
