Happy Fiesta Pontevedra 🎉🎉🎈

Today, we celebrate the 144th Municipal & Religious Fiesta of the Municipality of Pontevedra, Capiz.

Our fiesta tradition is dubbed as "Guyum-Guyuman Festival" reflective of the ways of life of our people adopting thriftiness, industriousness, "saving for the rainy days", resiliency and as community-builders like ants or "guyum", hence the term, Caguyumanon.

The religious fiesta is in thanksgiving of the abundant blessings of God to the lands and waters of Caguyuman through its patron saint, St. Isidore The Farmer.
