📢 CBMS Social Pension Payout Update

Today, the CBMS Social Pension payout is being conducted at the OSCA Building, with a house-to-house distribution for bedridden beneficiaries to ensure they receive their assistance without having to travel.

The payout activity is led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through Sir Miguel F. Lariosa, Project Development Officer II, DSWD Butuan City, together with OSCA Head Mrs. Imelda T. Azarcon, ensuring that qualified senior citizens receive their social pension promptly and conveniently.

🎉 Cash Gift Distribution to Nonagenarian and Octogenarian Senior Citizens 🎉

The Municipal Government of Cantilan, through the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully conducted the Cash Gift Distribution to 35 qualified Nonagenarian and Octogenarian senior citizen beneficiaries.

Each beneficiary received a ₱10,000 cash gift in recognition of their longevity and as a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the community. This initiative reflects the Local Government Unit of Cantilan's continued commitment to promoting the welfare, dignity, and well-being of its senior citizens.

🎉 Honoring a Remarkable Milestone! 🎉

The Municipal Government of Cantilan, through the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), proudly conducted the awarding of cash incentives to centenarian Mr. Vicente P. Cutillar in recognition of his extraordinary milestone of reaching 100 years of age.

Mr. Cutillar received a ₱100,000 Cash Gift from the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) under the provisions of Republic Act No. 11982 (Expanded Centenarians Act of 2024). In addition, the Local Government Unit of Cantilan granted him a ₱20,000 cash incentive, bringing the total amount received to ₱120,000.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

🎉 Provincial Government Brings Assistance to Five Nonagenarians 🎉

Under the leadership of Hon. Johnny T. Pimentel, Provincial Governor of Surigao del Sur, the Provincial Government continues to honor and recognize the province's elderly citizens through its financial assistance program for nonagenarians.

Five (5) nonagenarians each received ₱10,000 in financial assistance:

👵 Cenisa M. Ravelo – Parang
👵 Maria D. Dormiendo – Parang
👵 Peregrina Plaza – Parang
👴 Gregorian M. Uriarte – Magosilom
👴 Marcelino M. Muñoz – Magosilom

To ensure that all beneficiaries received their assistance, a house-to-house distribution was conducted for those who are bedridden. 📍BLESSING OF BAO BAO MAXIMA BAJA 🚐🙏

The Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), Cantilan, Surigao del Sur proudly celebrates the blessing of its newly acquired BAO BAO Maxima Baja, a significant addition that will strengthen the delivery of programs and services for the municipality's senior citizens.

The blessing ceremony was officiated by Fr. Dennis Urtohan, DCT Parochial Vicar, who imparted prayers and blessings for the safe and productive use of the vehicle in serving the community.

Present during the event were Isabelo B. Blanco, Executive Assistant I; Kenneth B. Yparraguirre, SWO II; and Imelda T. Azarcon, OSCA Head together with the OSCA Staff, MSWD Staff, and DSWD Staff.

📢 Monthly Meeting of the Municipal Federation of Senior Citizens Federation Presidents

On June 3, 2026, the Municipal Federation of Senior Citizens Federation Presidents held its monthly meeting at the OSCA Building, Magosilom, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

The meeting was presided over by Mr. Capistrano M. Ortula, Federation President, and was attended by Mr. Kenneth B. Yparraguirre, SWO II, and Mrs. Imelda T. Azarcon, OSCA Head.

The gathering provided an opportunity for federation presidents to discuss important updates, programs, and concerns affecting senior citizens in the municipality. It also served as a platform for strengthening coordination and collaboration among leaders and stakeholders dedicated to promoting the welfare, rights, and well-being of senior citizens.
