|| Nagsagawa ang FPA Bicol Region ng Accredited Safety Dispenser (ASD) Training para sa Rice Clusters at Irrigators Association Representatives noong Mayo 20โ€“21, 2026 sa Masbate City, Masbate na dinaluhan ng tinatayang 30 kalahok.

Tinalakay sa pagsasanay ang wastong paghawak, dispensing, pagtatago, at ligtas na paggamit ng agricultural inputs, kabilang ang pagsunod sa safety standards at responsableng gawaing pang-agrikultura.
Ang atkibidad ay bahagi ng mga inilunsad na aktibidad ngayong Mayo para sa selebrasyon ng ika-49 anibersaryo ng FPA.

Sa pamamagitan ng ASD Training, patuloy na isinusulong ng FPA Bicol Region ang ligtas at responsableng paggamit ng abono at pestisidyo sa rehiyon.

|| Matagumpay na naisagawa ng FPA Bicol Region ang โ€œSafe and Judicious Use of Fertilizers and Pesticides Training for Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs)โ€ na bahagi ng mga aktibidad para sa ika-49 anibersaryo ng FPA, sa Masbate City, noong Mayo 19, 2026.

Dinaluhan ng tinatayang 30 kalahok mula sa hanay ng mga Agricultural Extension Workers ang pagsasanay. Layunin naman nito na mapalawak ang kaalaman sa ligtas at epektibong paggamit ng abono at pestisidyo, kabilang ang pagsunod sa tamang regulasyon at mga pamantayan para sa kalusugan at pangangalaga sa kapaligiran.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng FPA Bicol Region ang mga ganitong pagsasanay upang mapalakas ang kaalaman ng mga agricultural extension worker tungo sa mas ligtas, produktibo, at makabagong agrikultura.

|| Nagsagawa ang FPA Bicol Region ng Consultation Meeting noong Mayo 19, 2026 sa Masbate City, Masbate na dinaluhan ng humigit-kumulang 25 Municipal/City Agriculturist at Rice Focal/Report Officers.

Bahagi ang miting ng mga inilunsad na mga aktibidad para sa selebrasyon ng ika-49 anibersaryo ng FPA ngayong Mayo. Tinalakay dito ang ligtas at wastong paggamit ng abono at pestisidyo, mga regulasyon para sa fertilizer and pesticide handlers, at updates sa kasalukuyang fertilizer price trends.

Nagkaroon din sa miting ng talakayan ukol sa mga isyu at concern kaugnay sa abono at pestisidyo bilang bahagi ng pagsusulong ng ligtas at produktibong agrikultura.

Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang mga patnubay sa wastong paggamit, pagbebenta, at regulasyon ng abono at pestisidyo, kabilang ang mga bagong programa at proyekto ng ahensya. Ang ginawang aktibidad ay bahagi ng selebrasyon ngayong Mayo para sa ika-49 anibersaryo ng FPA.

Before the Organic Agriculture Act of 2010, the FPA handled the registration of organic fertilizers and pesticides.

Today, this authority is under the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS), supporting the countryโ€™s growing organic agriculture sector.

A 2007 Supreme Court ruling clarified that the FPA regulates agricultural pesticides, while urban, household, and industrial-use pesticides fall under the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In 1977, Presidential Decree No. 1144 officially created the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA), merging fertilizer and pesticide regulation under one agency to strengthen Philippine agriculture.

FPA Fact!

Before the creation of the FPA, the Fertilizer Industry Authority (FIA) was first established in 1973 to regulate the fertilizer industry.

This became the foundation for stronger agricultural regulation in the countryโ€”eventually leading to the creation of the FPA through Presidential Decree No. 1144 in 1977.

Nearly five decades later, the FPA continues to uphold responsible regulation, farmer protection, and environmental stewardship. โœจ
