đź“°Masisit ES Brigada Eskwela/OBE Kick OFF cm Fun Walk 2026.

Sanchez-Mira, Cagayan — June 1, 2026. The Brigada & Oplan Balik Eskwela Kick-Off Fun Walk at Maisisit Elementary School gathered teachers, local officials, parents, and community partners under the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”

The event opened with vibrant participation from the Marines (10th Infantry Company), BFP, barangay officials, MES teachers, religious groups, SELG Officers and guests, all walking side by side to symbolize collective effort in preparing schools for the upcoming academic year.

Represented by Kag. Christine Joy A. Asanias, Hon. Edgar E. Cabuyadao, Barangay Captain, expressed strong support for Brigada Eskwela. She emphasized that the program is a symbol of unity and compassion for learners’ welfare.

“Sa ngalan ng Sangguniang Barangay, sinusuportahan namin ang Brigada Eskwela bilang simbolo ng pagkakaisa at malasakit para sa kapakanan ng mga mag-aaral. Ang bawat oras at tulong ng mga boluntaryo ay mahalagang ambag sa mas ligtas at maayos na paaralan. Sama-sama nating itaguyod ang mas maliwanag na kinabukasan para sa ating mga anak. Mabuhay ang Brigada Eskwela!" she shared.

In his message of support, Hon. Napoleon A. Malto, Sangguniang Bayan Member, also underscored the vital role of Brigada Eskwela in strengthening schools. He recalled his experience as a Vocational School Principal in 2009, when his institution proudly garnered the National Winner award in the Brigada Eskwela contest.

Malto emphasized that such recognition was not only a testament to hard work but also proof that Brigada Eskwela is a cornerstone of school improvement challenging Maisisit Elementary School to aim for another Brigada Eskwela recognition again this year.

Represented by SB Member Ymann Valdez, Mayor Abraham “Abe” Bagasin conveyed the unwavering commitment of the Local Government Unit (LGU) to all programs of the Department of Education, particularly those of Masisit Elementary School.

Valdez stressed that the LGU stands firmly behind initiatives that uplift education, promising resources and assistance to ensure learners thrive. He also highlighted the importance of bayanihan during the Brigada Eskwela period, noting that collective effort is the true spirit of the program. “When the community unites, schools become stronger, cleaner, and more prepared to nurture the future,” he added.

Lastly, in her acknowledgement, Dr. Emmalyn L. Baltazar, School Head of Masisit Elementary School, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, partners, and supporters who joined the Brigada Eskwela/OBE Kick Off and Fun Walk opening program. She acknowledged the collective effort of teachers, officials, parents, and community groups in making Brigada Eskwela a success.

Dr. Baltazar also responded to the challenge posed by Hon. Malto, promising that Masisit Elementary School will strive to win the Brigada Eskwela contest this year. “With the spirit of bayanihan and the unwavering support of our community, we are confident that we can achieve excellence and bring honor to our school again,” she declared.

As the program concluded, the atmosphere reflected hope and determination. With the LGU’s all-out support, the barangay’s commitment, and the community’s bayanihan spirit, Masisit Elementary School stands ready to welcome learners into a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the new school year.

We are truly grateful and proud to receive the Best Feeding Room Award. Our school also achieved Overall 4th Place at the District Level as School-Based Feeding Program implementers.

This milestone reflects our dedication to Project B.U.S.O.G (Bawat Ulam na maSustansya may Oportunidad sa Ginhawa)
