The City College of Cagayan de Oro โ Technical Skills and Technology Institute (CCCDO-TSTI) conducted its Quarter 3 Orientation Seminar at the CCCDO Audio Visual Room, bringing together students and personnel for an informative orientation on the instituteโs programs, policies, services, and opportunities.
The morning session began with the preliminaries, followed by the opening remarks of ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐ง, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who welcomed the students and encouraged them to pursue continuous learning.
A highlight of the session was the Introduction of CCCDO-TSTI, including an overview of the institute and the introduction of its teaching and non-teaching staff, led by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ข๐ง ๐. ๐๐ข๐จ๐ฌ, Vocational School Administrator.
The students were also oriented on the three phases of the training and employment process: ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ ๐ โ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐, presented by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ค ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง ๐. ๐๐๐, Vocational Instruction Supervisor; ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ ๐ โ ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, discussed by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐รฑ๐จ, UTPRAS Assessment Center Manager; and ๐๐ก๐๐ฌ๐ ๐ โ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, presented by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ , JoLINS Focal. A Registrar Orientation was also conducted by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ญ๐, followed by an open forum.
The afternoon session focused on Non-Academic Support Services, including Guidance and Counselling, Library, and Clinic and Health Services, presented by ๐๐ซ. ๐
๐๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐จ and ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ, respectively. The session also covered PPS Rules and Security, facilitated by ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐จ, and the Student Policy, presented by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐๐ณ. These discussions emphasized studentsโ responsibilities, safety, proper conduct, and compliance with institutional policies.
The orientation supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly ๐๐๐ ๐: ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, by promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality education, skills development, and lifelong learning opportunities. It also contributes to ๐๐๐ ๐: ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ก by helping students understand training, assessment, work-based learning, and employment pathways.
