CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – Enhanced financial awareness and increased understanding of cooperative services were achieved among the personnel of the 4th Field Artillery Battalion, following their participation in the Information Drive conducted by the First Community Cooperative (FICCO) Tiano Branch.

Facilitated by Mr. Ernesto Labadan Jr, Regional Manager of FICCO, the activity provided valuable insights on cooperative membership, savings and investment programs, loan facilities, financial literacy, and other services aimed at promoting economic stability and responsible financial management.

4FAB Successfully Passes RCC Certification

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – Demonstrating its commitment to operational excellence and combat readiness, the 4th Field Artillery Battalion successfully completed the rigorous Certification process conducted by the Regiment Certification Committee (RCC), headed by LTC CANDELARIO M PITOGO (ART) PA. The certification evaluated the unit’s capabilities, discipline, training proficiency, and overall preparedness in the ex*****on of field artillery operations.

The successful completion of the assessment reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of the battalion personnel in meeting the standards set by higher headquarters. This achievement further strengthens the battalion’s mission readiness and underscores its continuing commitment to providing responsive and effective artillery support in support of the Philippine Army’s operational objectives.

4FAB Supports 2026 ROTC Inspection

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – Demonstrating its continued commitment to youth development and military excellence, the 4th Field Artillery Battalion actively participated in the Regional Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026 conducted for the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) unit of University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro City. The activity aims to evaluate the administrative efficiency, tactical proficiency, discipline, and overall operational readiness of the ROTC cadets and training staff in accordance with established standards of the reserve force development program.

Through its participation, the battalion provided guidance, support, and professional expertise to ensure the successful conduct of the inspection while strengthening the partnership between the military and academic institutions in promoting patriotism, leadership, and national service among the youth.

4FAB Conducts Two-Day Live Fire Exercise

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – On May 20-21, 2026, a two-day Live Fire Exercise was successfully conducted at Barangay Capitan Bayong, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon as part of the In-service Training of the 4th Field Artillery (Strike From Afar) Battalion to enhance the gunnery proficiency, operational coordination, and overall combat readiness of its personnel. The activity formed part of the unit’s Field Artillery Gunnery Proficiency Training (FAGPT), which aims to strengthen the technical and tactical competencies of artillery crews in the effective employment of fire support operations.

LTC ALLAN M PEÑAFLOR ART (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of 4FAB, emphasized that the Live Fire Exercise was conducted with three primary objectives: first, to assess the proficiency and competency of the personnel; second, to evaluate the operational functionality and reliability of the artillery pieces; and third, to demonstrate the firepower capability and responsiveness of the unit’s weapon systems. He further stressed the importance of realistic and mission-oriented training in sustaining the operational effectiveness of the battalion.

With the thorough supervision and in accordance with established safety and operational standards, the training was graced by the presence of BGEN SEIGFRED C TUBALADO PA, Brigade Commander of the 403rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Philippine Army, who personally observed the conduct of the exercise, affirming the battalion’s commitment to operational excellence and mission readiness. Throughout the exercise, the gunnery team effectively executed firing procedures, safety protocols, and fire mission coordination, ensuring the accurate delivery of artillery fires and strict compliance with standard operating procedures.

The activity further enhanced the capability of the unit to deliver timely and responsive fire support in support of maneuver forces during combat operations, thereby reinforcing the battalion’s preparedness for future operational requirements of the Philippine Army.

Outreach Activity Boosts Brgy. Bontongon’s Community Preparedness

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – On May 19, 2026, a community outreach activity was conducted by the 4th Field Artillery Battalion in Barangay Bontongon, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon in support of the upcoming Live Fire Exercise. The activity aimed to strengthen public awareness, promote safety, and ensure that residents were properly informed regarding the conduct of military training activities within the area.

A total of 500 individuals benefited from feeding assistance, while 60 children enjoyed free haircuts. School supplies were distributed to 200 recipients, and another 300 beneficiaries were provided with prescription drugs. Additionally, 480 individual were given vitamins, 46 adults received reading glasses, 150 individuals were issued slippers, and 200 recipients benefited from used clothing distribution. An information drive was also conducted to further educate the community on safety protocols and advisories related to the Live Fire Exercise.

Hon. Remalyn D Lagunday, Barangay Chairwoman of Barangay Bontongon, expressed her gratitude to the 4FAB for facilitating the delivery of basic services to the constituents of the said barangay.
Sincere appreciation is extended to Hon. Jetaime Okinlay-Gumban, Municipal Mayor of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, and Datu Renato S. Sumbongan, Provincial Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR), for their invaluable support and cooperation during the conduct of the outreach activity in connection with the Live Fire Exercise. Their strong partnership and commitment to community engagement significantly contributed to the successful implementation of the activity and the strengthening of civil-military relations within the locality.
