STATEMENT || The Archbishop of Manila is taking charge of the administration of St. Joseph Parish, 2671 J. Luna Street, Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila, through the parish administration team composed of the following:
REV. FR. REGINALD R. MALICDEM, Team Ministry Moderator
REV. FR. NOLAN A. QUE, Team Ministry Member
REV. FR. GILBERT P. KABIGTING, Team Ministry Member
Effective 3 June 2024, Rev. Fr. Alfonso B. Valeza is relieved from his duties as
Parochial Administrator of the said parish. From then on, any act he does in relation to the position is illicit.
Because of his persistent defiance to the Archbishop of Manila despite orders and warnings, Fr. Valeza is likewise suspended from exercising priestly faculties effective 5
June 2024. He is therefore prohibited from administering the sacraments. Any sacrament he administers is illicit.
We exhort the lay faithful of St. Joseph Parish to abide by this decision and cooperate with the parish administration team.
Let us entrust ourselves to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the
prayers of St. Joseph.
