The City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) – Butuan City has been made aware of threatening posts circulating on social media targeting students and specific schools in Butuan City.

We are closely coordinating with the concerned school authorities and the Butuan City Police Office (BCPO), which has deployed personnel to help ensure the safety and security of our students while the investigation is ongoing.

We do not take any threat — online or offline — lightly. Posting threats, even as a joke, is a serious offense with legal consequences.
🔹 Report threats or incidents of bullying to school authorities, your Barangay, BCPO, or the CSWDD.

🔹 Parents and guardians, please guide your children in the responsible use of social media.

Ang mga miyembro sa komitiba aktibong mitambong ug mitubag sa mga pangutana ug pag presenta sa mga validation requirements isip kabahin sa assessment process.

Dako kini nga tabang aron masiguro nga epektibo, responsive, ug compliant ang implementasyon sa mga programa, serbisyo, ug mekanismo batok sa trafficking ug violence against women and children sa dakbayan. Pinaagi niini, mas mapalig-on pa ang koordinasyon sa mga ahensya ug ang paghatag og mas episyente nga proteksyon ug serbisyo alang sa kababayen-an, kabataan, ug uban pang vulnerable sectors.

📢 Capacity Building for BCCAT-VAWC Members

The BCCAT-VAWC conducted a capacity building activity on March 25, 2026 at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Conference Room, facilitated by the City Legal Department.

The session strengthened members’ capacity in handling cases involving women and children, with a video documentary presented to provide real-life context and deepen understanding.
